Wonderfull feedback... utterly useless though.
Anyhow, since we are still in a beta and since CTDs incl. disconnects aren't that uncommon, 6vs8 can happen.

it was not disconnect or afk, after I joined it was 6vs6, and while "Waiting for players" 2 mechs were added to enemy team, and It wasn't like we had all assault and other team just medium mechs.

All I'm saying matchmaking is SOOOOOOOOOOO f... messed up, most of the time matches are TOTALLY unbalanced.

Really... Disconnects are a surprize to you? What games have you been playing these past few months if you are so easily surprized by something which is common knowledge... Next you will be telling us that snow is slippery.

Please try to use the search function next time... or alternatively you can attempt feedback which is actually useful to anyone apart to vent frustration on your end.

Posted ImageIn support of the OP's point, here's a screenshot I took a while back of a bad drop.
As stated, this is *NOT* a case of disconnects at the start of the match.
This is the matchmaker not actually filling a team completely before counting down.

I'm quite sure this is due to there being a maximum launch wait time, and no set of balanced weights could be found in the cue. Should it just balance with what it's got? Probably. I've seen a few games pull that off just not sure what amount of coding has to go it for that, also it's fairly rare to run into short players versus ctd's which a a fair bit more common.

Nope. Its deffinitely due to crash to desktop errors after the launch button was pressed, but before the match was loaded. Once you press the launch button, the matchmaker seems to build a game depending on the players waiting at the moment (you hardly ever launch in the same split second as you press the button as you quite often have the "Searching" window).

Once the matchmaker has 16 mechs sorted and queued up for launch it will start the game. If someone drops out in this instance, then they will not load into the map (obviously), but the other 15 players will be ingame leaving the teams askew 7vs8. The matchmaker will be waiting for the missing player to finally join instead of searching for a replacement with the same weightclass as the one who dropped.

It sometimes looks like replacements have dropped as they join much later than the ones already waiting, but this is because they either have a slower computer or a slowwer connection than the others. They were always alotted that space.

Unless you've played 2v8 or 1v8 with you being the 1 or 2. Then you havent seen anything yet!

Shot this vid right after playing a 1v8, got stuck in a 2v8 with a clan mate.

Shall we call the paramedics with a pot of salve for you beeing buthurt ? :)

No, seriously, sometimes one gets the idea the game tryes to make the worst possible combination of bugs and disconnects just for our benefit. I'm theorizing about a MWO disco/bug Gnome sitting somewhere deep down buried in a pile of server cables observing the enjoyment rate of players giggeling madly when he ensures no one gets to much fun out of this game. ;)

The worst i have played so far is 6v8 & this was not due to disconnects. Just not enough players upon game launch, tho i dont know why it didn't balance to 7v7??
Either way i reckon when the game does not have players it should wait an extra 15 secs or so until launch. Right now it wouldn't be a problem but after game goes alpha, when players start dying off it could be a bit of a pain in the *** to constantly be waiting longer than u should have to
