Assault - Raven 3L
Heavy - Raven 3L
Medium - Raven 3L
Light - Raven 3L


Unless they fix whatever is causing this chassis to take upwards of 4x or more of the amount of damage it should, I'm willing to bet that the Raven 3L outclasses every single other mech in this tournament. Even when you match directly up against mechs in the other weight classes.

Good luck this weekend (unless you are piloting a 3L, then you just need to be somewhat present).

I prefer AC20's over luck. Can't find that in the mechlab anyway.

Hopefully you are bringing lots of extra ammo, last 3L I saw get hit by an ac20 to the back walked away with slightly colored armor, and extra 3-4 tons per one each match ought to do it.

Only Founders get access to the Luck Tab , I agree that the 3L is tough to take on as a fellow light, but come on they really aren't that difficult when you're in a bigger mech unless the pilot is really good (or you have a lot of lag).

Overall- Raven 3L
Assault - Stalker 3F
Heavy - Catapult K2 (Changed to A1 when reminded about a Splatcats nasty ability to Kill Steal)
Medium - Hunchback 4SP
Light - Raven 3L

I agree with the intent of your post the 3L is the most OP mech right now, I Hate them and do not own one, though I pilot lights all the time. The best fix for them is to bring back collisions, IMO. Then any light will need serious skills to play again, oh how i miss that.

Bloody Moon, I totally agree with you when damage is registering properly on them. Then they are as weak as any other light mech, not been the case from what I've seen so far in this patch.

- I should note I no problem with them having ecm or streaks, it's simply that that 1 variant doesn't take damage properly... again.

It's not possible for the Raven to take top overall. Have a look at the scoring rules.

I read and dont quote me on it but does make sense. The hit boxes on the 3L are screwed up. Maybe the reason they not fixing it is....PGI plays the 3L.

I can get behind this list with the exception of i think the A1 Cat over the K2. And A1 over all champ not Raven.

I am worried about joining this new tournament. Dont want to go in solo and get wiped by premades. Since last night 3 times in a row. Same map and same exact people all 8. They even attacked my atlas with same 2 LRM cats and commando. Do give them props though. One of the most well organized teams I have seen. All 3 times I was attacked by the same 3. They were converging and focus firing very well. But the real issue was I was on the receiving end . I am starting to question the fun factor for me in this game now.

Global Ranking Score:

(Total Event Players – Your Light Rank) + (Total Event Players – Your Medium Rank) + (Total Event Players – Your Heavy Rank) + (Total Event Players – Your Assault Rank)

So if there were 1000 players that "opted in" and you were ranked #15 in all 4 classes your global score would be:

(1000 - 15) + (1000 - 15) + (1000 - 15) + (1000 - 15) = 3,940

That's how I read it anyways.

So yeah, while technically a Raven 3L won't be able to take be the Overall Champion the odds are that the Overall Champion will have used a 3L in his/her light matches to boost his score.

So:

Overall- Used a Raven 3L, Hunchback 4SP, Catapult K2 and a Stalker 3F
Assault - Stalker 3F
Heavy - Catapult K2
Medium - Hunchback 4SP
Light - Raven 3L

is what we'll probably see.

Bryan, with all due respect, have a look at how the 3L is actually functioning in the game. It regularly takes upwards of 800 or more damage. So the actual results of the tournament have little to no effect on what the in-game leader of all the mechs is. Until it takes damage like the rest of the light mech chassis' again it's really a no contest victory for the 3L, whether you designed a system that includes the rest of the weight classes in judgement for your contest or not.

Splatcats will almost assuredly take the heavy top spot. Even with its fairly bad performance on Alpine, overall it completely outclasses all the other mechs in its weight bracket.
