I knew this was going to happen.....People got all **** sure with there 8 man premades in early beta and curb stomped everyone all the time, then finally they get put up against some real players and "WTF THEY ARE HACKING" post fill the general disscusion.

Yes, many of us are that good, Yes its not hard to shoot the cockpit at 450 meters. Many games i play are over in less than 5 min, because of mech pilots either panicing or making terrible tactical decisions.

What did you think it was going to be like? Free money and lolipops with a little hot air up the butt hole. Tell you what you can want in one hand and **** in the other and you let me know which one fills up first? People dont hack in this game, and if they do its such a tiny number that you probably never see them and they were banned.

Dude, I hate to burst your l337 bubble but ... search the forums for "aimbot". Bad players have been saying "OMG HAX0Rs" pretty much since day 1 (in closed beta), even before Oct 4th when that one cheat site posted (supposed) pictures of one. People of a certain personality type will always find a reason for why they got shot/killed that doesn't involve their own playing.

Funny story because pointless thread

Back in beta I ran a typical Jenner with a friend who played Gausspaults. A fairly typical scenario would be me scouting then having to run back to help him deal with an enemy scout. This happens on Forest Colony with me falling back and seeing him fight the dude. I line up for a ram to knock him down and buy my friend some time when I die instantly. Armor on my mech was full and I didn't even realize I was dead.

Turns out he headshot me, in close range (sub 100m), as a Jenner, running perpendicular to him.

Damned aimbotters.

Aim bots do exist for this game.... If for a minute you think they dont then your both ignorant and gullible.

Is every headshot a aimbot.... no
Are there good skilled people playing .. yes

What has pgi done about it? Nothing.

Ummm you realize what you just posted was sheer ignorance right? You might want to delete.... "I found hacks therefore hacks exist on this game".

Not saying they don't... just your post was REALLY stupid. Besides: aim bots aren't that useful in MWO and the only way to really get a use out of it is to make it really obvious.

Eh, I already fight wall hackers every day in the local FPS game that I play and I used to have fun trying to beat aimbotters with headshots (really hard tho they just have to tap the fire button but noobs do full auto and miss). Nothing new in an online shooting game. :P

I've done this too. The best part is, if you try to beat the hackers at their own game with one hand tied behind your back, you end up bettering yourself.

I was once banned from a server in a first person shooter because I was so good they thought I was hacking.

I've had some ridiculous reflexive shots where I would turn a corner and shoot someone between the eyes before my conscious mind even knew what was happening.

The pinnacle of human ability CAN achieve *close* to bot status. The bots can simply do it with regularity and without tiring.

As has been stated before aim-bots can exist for MWO though are much less effective due to server side authority. You cannot even if you use a bot make your torso turn faster than the set turn rate, or control your heat or anything like that. What you can do though is potentially identify and target Mechs more accurately.

We are not doing nothing about this believe me, we are aware of all current farming bots etc. and there have already been bans and will continue to be bans. Also we have more and more telemetry coming online each build that track players stats and any anomalies are already being actively investigated by our GMs (Game Masters) and CSRs (Customer Support Representatives), if they confirm cheating bans are being handed out (as just stated this has already happened and will continue to happen).

If you suspect cheating please feel free to file a support ticket, the best information you can provide is:

* The exact time the game occurred
* The pilot name(s) of those you suspect were cheating
* Details/screenshots of what happened

It is well stated in the Terms of service that we will not tolerate any hacking/cheating and we actively work on this, so any statements that we don't care are patently false, of course we care. There are already changes coming down the pipe to ensure farming is not an effective mechanism along with further work to make aim-bots even less of a threat.

Please if you enjoy our game avoid any cheats and encourage others to avoid them too, its not worth having your account banned over.

Thanks

The russian aimbot isn't really an aimbot, and is more like an improved radar.

Also just a reminder that if you do suspect there is an active hack/cheat in the wild, please do not post it on the forums, either file a support ticket or PM the details to one of the devs, posting cheats on the forums is also against the Terms of Service and will likely result in your post being taken down and you getting a warning.

One other note on suspected aim-bots is that sadly some people are gifted with ungodly aim, I'm a big Quake 3 fan and used to watch replays of the top pros. If you watch any replays from any game like this TF2, Counter Strike etc. there are some insanely good players to the point you'd swear they were cheating if you didn't watch them play. The skill ranking that is coming to the match maker should ensure that these type of players get matched with players on their same level.

This should hopefully make it more fun for everyone, no-one likes to be matched well outside their skill level it's no fun for either player really. As you saw in the last patch the match maker is coming along and once it's skill based it should really help all players have much more balanced games.

You wouldn't happen to be one of those silly pilots that sit still in a mech that has a large cockpit hitbox, on top of a hill, would you?

Or be that guy that is out in the open ground, running solo, skipping along looking at all of the pretty flowers?

I'm pretty sure I've seen one.

He cored all 8 players on my team, but the clincher is that he did some while being swarmed and hammered with ac fire. I could see his torso being thrown back and forth, yet he manages to hold the lasers on the CT of a running hunchie. The AC shake should make it near impossible to track a moving target.

Uhm....you are aware that cockpit shake only influences your cockpit, not your actual aim? If you got like a quarter second without shaking you can adjust your aim and simply follow the enemy movements. It's not that hard usually.

Oh Godmoney!! You are vapidly precious!

Do aim bots exists, well sure.. IS there one for MWO? No evidence yet exist that a WORKING, FUNCTIONAL piece of CODE exist, No Ports (which your emailed example is trying to be based on a counterstrike bot), no new code.

http://www.artificia...m/mwo_hacks.php is bull-puckey!

Its wishful fracking thinking.. I could use MSpaint and make bounding boxes on screenshots! and the rest of that is VB boxes, poorly done I might add.

Do you understand how hard it would be to adjust, with VB code, the angle and trajectory of a shell? Written for Cry3. Best guess there's some missing comparability there.

Just don't man, 20 years in IT, and as long in games, including CS with Bots tell me you DON'T!

Yeah, either a liar, a dupe, or the scammer trying to sell that crap?

Dude.. somebody drawing boxes around screenshots is not even proof of concept! Its wishful thinking! In development, proof of concept is SEEING IT WORK! Full Screen, as described on the advertisement

Get your boy @ HELIOS or A Developer (who, if it worked, would already own a copy so they can block it) to post a video OF IT WORKING, as identified in the screenshots and I'll take it back.. BUT a real video of it working.. with a full screen cap and no BS post editing. I want it running, with Task Manager up beside Procmon.

Otherwise your Full of bovine droppings!

Hell buy it yourself and IF it works as proposed I'll give you the 20 bucks for a 1 month license, with an apology, in the forums, in caps the biggest font they have!

You get scammed, you admit it HERE in the forums for everyone.

Sup to you! my money's waiting for you to walk the walk. Otherwise, you are a fear-mongering LIAR, who pushed a best guess that something "must be going on" because you and the other "it must be hackers" can't play the game.

Walk the walk, put up proof, or well...just walk on.

IF you wanted to fear-monger good and proper, you do something like, "and this is based on a Crysis 2 Aimbot." With some pretty colors of that too. Which at the very least would appear, to the casual observer, as feasible.

*All the name calling in the universe won't change what I asked you for.. don't bother. The first email you sent was plenty to demonstrate your excellent vocabulary skills.

First of all I never said I've seen a aimbot nor have used one in my life.

2nd you're a ***** to think they don't exist. Going to deny global warming next?

3rd I wouldn't give helios my money or even yours if I was paid 100$ for every 20$ I spent.

4th you're still a moron who's internet skills are surpassed by my 60 year old mother who can barely open Google Chrome.

5th if you want proof you go spend money at artificial aiming. I have never cheated in games and I'm not starting today. The only reason I even know about Helios is because I ran into his aimbots numerous times in SMNC.

6th You're still naive and stupid in case you forgot.

I have played in over 1000 pug matches and only seen 1 instance where i could cry foul. Not even sure if it was aimbot but the guy sure had something that let him know where i was ahead of time. I was running a jenner and was first one across the field of battle started to come around a building and took 2 ppc hits from across the river. That means A. the guy lead me from behind the building up the ramp and into the open. And B. Some how knew I was there even though i am in a Jenner 150kph and was advanced scouting up the ramp in the city map while his force was take the river route. Guy was just standing there and prefired before i turned the corner even to hit me with that burst, i backed off and even asked in chat how he knew i was coming around the corner. Just found it really downright odd. But who knows. He never answered me and we lost soundly that match.
