ECM renders this mech useless (i only PUG) either fix it or give us our MC/CBILLS back and remove it from the game

No. Use SRM's and adapt like everyone else and stop depending on weapons that target for you. Simples.

But he's right, the A1 isn't the Streakapult for Solo-Players anymore. The C4 is, if you're equipping TAG. Else you need a friendly Counter-ECM carrier running alongside. Or (as mentioned) carry an SRM-Combination...

LRMs are in the game and should be usable in PUGs. They are just as important to "role warfare" as a gauss cat, and they should be just as effective as any other weapons system.
Telling LRM cat drivers to switch to SRMs is ridiculous.

Yay for ECM. I love taking my high speed X10 shotty Dragon in with an ECM Raven team mate and ruining the day of a LRM mech pilot.

You can still use that mech, its just much less effective as a boat without support. You might consider using it with a premade group that has ECMs and TAGs.

Pretty sure the OP was a StreakCat user, but you're right he didn't specify, could have been an LRM Cat.

So let's break this down...

If OP was LRM:
-Pick your shots, watch for tags and save at least two slots for SRM defense, not streaks. SRMs don't need a lock and two SRM6s can be pretty devestating.

If OP was Streak:
-Welcome to the plight of the light mech pre-ECM, post-streak "fix". We had to severely rethink our loadouts or buy new mechs. Seriously, load up with SRMs. Get a fast engine and you won't ever go back to the no-talent Streaks.

In short, adapt mate. We had to. Even if it means saving up for a new mech, you're gonna want a couple extra Cats to get to elite efficiencies anyhow. The other Cats can tag for themselves; albeit, in a limited fashion do to their energy points in the torso.

+1 on the SRM6s I've two Shotted a Raven from the front with SRM6s, and made life very unpleasant for other mechs of all classes in my Hunchie SP

LRMs, you just need to pick your shots, look for those that are TAGed or seperated from the group, or work with a friendly ECM mech for support.

was combo 2xlrm15 4xstreak mainly and i have tried using srms but when you are up against the lag factor of the netcode only sreaks offered any protection against light mechs ECM removes this so your left to be destroyed by the commando/raven/jenner running circles round you often shooting you with streaks to add insult to injury oh and btw am working on master for all 3 of my cats atm
