Remember back in the earlier Mechwarrior games. You would be moving up to your nav point. And you would hear. "Enemy Power up detected" And they would pop up on your radar. No matter what the line of sight was.
In MWO as it stands right now. Radar only works with "Line of sight" Once that Line of Sight is lost. Radar signal is lost.
Now this is related to bump in a post about ECM. I think if Radar worked like it is suppose to or like it did in other MW games. Then ECM would more or less work as it should.
Right now ECM is a global effective device. With a max effective range of 180 meters but yet it can shut down radar over 1,000 meters? Doesnt make sense to me.
I think Radar should be fixed and work like it always has in past MW games. I believe that would balance out the ECM capabilities a little bit.
Because if I am running BAP and or other range extending options. And yet someone on an enemy team is powered up and either outside my Radar sensor range or within my Radar sensor range. It should not have that "radar cloak effect" that is blocks out that mech and the other enemy mechs. Or else there is no point in BAP or other range extending devices/options.
