War Dog anyone? w/Heavy Gauss Rifle?

While the War Dog is a sweet design it is not period. Other then that great choice.

I want to see the Orion and Quickdraw both are FWL designs. For Davion designs i would like to see the Jagermech and the Caesar.

For a heavy, I'd go with the Orion. Especially if you could get the Kerensky lay out with an SRM4 in each arm.

Other than that, the Caesar is one of my favorites even though that Gauss rifle blows me up every time I pilot one. Or the Cataphract, because I think I could turn one into a Caesar my own darned self.

Two heavies that I really liked in the past are Hellbringer (Loki) and Summoner (Thor). I hope we get to see both of these in the game at some point.

only IS mechs will be available at the beginning!!!

Ok...I've already posted about the WAR DOG w/ the HEAVY GAUSS RIFLE

I just think that it'd be kinda cool to have this mech, w/ this specific weapon in the WR-DG-03FC. Just to have a powerful weapon like the HEAVY GAUSS that, if used, could knock you on your back because of its tremendous recoil in this game...it might teach some folks about how to utilize their weapons more responsibly

"Indeed, the recoil from the weapon is so great that the rifle cannot be mounted in a vehicle's turret or 'Mech's arms, as firing the rifle would essentially rip it off. A 'Mech firing the rifle may even be knocked down by the recoil. At close range, the rifle can inflict damage exceeding that of even an Autocannon/20, and so it has earned the handle of "Thor's Hammer" among LAAF troops."

The heavy gauss is a post 3060 weapon. The variant you are talking about is a 3064 'Mech. The 2FC War Dog, great design with a regular gauss, comes out in 3052.

MCQUEEN...I know it's not quite period, especially w/ heavy gauss, but it's still SLDF, so it WAS created in the timeline... especially w/ peeps asking about the TIMBER WOLF when we haven't gone CLAN yet

OK... I know the HEAVY GAUSS didnt come out til 3061...just, if you read the earlier post about a heavy w/ out GAUSS being mentioned, I thought I'd throw out the WAR DOG because i like that mech, especially the WR-DG03FC.... I just think it'd be cool that it would make people a little smarter about utilizing their weapons if they had this in this their arsenal in this game

The SLDF design never got past the prototype stage and the prototype won't be rediscovered till 3052. Three years from now. However I will concede that the basic design did exist locked away in a vault somewhere. But if the devs want to retcon it in all the better. Like I said before it is a good mech.

Has anyone brought up the Thunderbolt yet? I always liked using them in the tabletop game. It's capable of filling a lot of roles on the battlefield.

By the way, I just found out about this game 3 days ago and I am almost frantic to get into it!

Ok...just on the subject of things coming out in 3-5 years in the timeline... how long are going to be in this timeline? Cuz I think there are too many people who want to see some heavy CLAN OMNI mechs... TIMBER WOLF anyone? :)

First off, can we stop calling people QUEEN? Some people see that as an insult.

Time is passing at a 1:1 ratio. So a week from now in real life will be a week from now in-game. Conversely, a three years from now in-game, is 3 years from now in real life. The devs MIGHT decide to push the timeline up a bit, but we have no confirmation on this.
