Dude, the Mad Cat is the emblem of the Clans, it is one of the first seen. 49 is the year the Invasion starts. It is often misstated as 50, but infact it was August of 49, usually ignored because in 49 they were taking places in the Periphery like The Rock, so noone noticed or cared, except for the Kells and some loser pirates. But yeah, trying to grab a Mad Cat is going to have to wait, basically this sounds like it's gonna play out alot like Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries, you start being able to get clan tech midway through. Which is fine, an Awesome I can take in a Commando, anything Clan related not so likely, I'm gonna want some tonnage and lostech before I go after those freebirth scum.
Oh, also, Mad Cat IIs are for noobs. Pretty literally, as they were a marketing tool designed by the Sea Ferrets (aka Shark Food), probably to sell to the Inner Sphere the Mad Cat is iconic as a powerhouse. Ha Otoko had a similar idea around it, except Clanners also think the Timber Wolf is pretty awesome so they can sell to them as well (I would guess under the Timber Wolf brand though).

On the other hand, now the mechs seem rather diverse, more than in the MW games. So i can live on and just wait for the clan mechs but i stil want them as soon as possible .

I know wha you mean. My favorite mech (the Puma) is a clan mech. Still this gives me the chance to ride out in other light mechs again.
(the hard bit is that com star has had these for over 4 years now, but they are hidden. *cries*)

Yepp, i believe that too.
There is two great sets of disappointed players:
-The Clan-depending ones, who wan't his Timber Wolf / Summoner / Mad Dog / etc., and OFC the superior clan tech.
-The unseen-depending ones, who wan't his Warhammer, because his seen in the trailer... which is the trailer of the Mechwarrior 3015, a different (and now dead) game...

Dude, pay attention to the timeline. Based on the day to game date ratio we will have to wait a full year for the clan invasion. Oh, and the proper term is Timberwolf not Mad Cat. Silly freebirths and your alternate names.

Well, like it or not, it's actually true the "old" 3025 is the only era in the TT, where the whole thing is well balanced. After the come out of the XL Engine, Double Heat sinks, Endo Steel chassis, etc. the whole things messed up, and i personally think the once well balanced game become a mess.
Do not misunderstood, i like the Clan lore, i like the Clan mech designs, but in the light of the game balance, it's a disaster (and it's only get more cynical with the 3060's and 3070's tech, like XXL engine, RAC's and other abominations...).

Oh I don't doubt that. It's just the fact that PGI has already acknowledged the fact that the clans are coming so any desire otherwise... well it just isn't happening. For better or worse clan tech is on its way.

Yes sir, he did drive a green Marauder, however he later had a Mad Cat.... according to the Mad Cat's Sarna page anyway, which contains a reference supporting the claim that the Bounty Hunter had a Mad Cat. Unfortunately I can't fact check the reference because I don't have the book it's pointing to.
yes in the "techical readout 3050 upgrade" the bounty hunter is reported driving a madcat. he's the only notable mechwarriors described for the mech

I also wish the mods would use a heavier hand in stopping the flaming/trolling too.

No salvage in the game means no chance.
This...from the prophet.
UNLESSSSSS...they decide to make a huge mistake and allow people to join the dragoons and work your way up to their clan tech/mechs. *sigh*
I think we;ve had enough Dragoon content in the games....better to concentrate on other aspects of battletech.
