So I'm in my H-Back 4G and I catch a enemy H-Back off guard. I was within 100m and I opened up with my AC/20. We were both moving. I put 4 AC/20 hits into his back. 4!!!!!! I saw the hit graphic but after the 4 hits his back armor was gone and red. No kill for me ;) Some LRM boat got the kill. Last time I checked my H-Backs armor rating it didn't display over 80 pts.

PGI, I know you guys gotta make some coin and understand fluff content. But please fix the hit detection and fire delay of the AC/20.

Please share your AC/20 blues.

I halfway wonder if they have been tinkering with the value of armor versus damage on the server-side values lately. A lot of weapons seem to be doing less.

As much as I love my AC20 I have to say the number of mechs I've not killed by repeatedly firing into their backs is painful. :)

I've been wondering this as well. A couple of days ago I crept up behind a catapult and proceeded to unload ER PPC after ER PPC into its back. I counted eleven shots to the same location and the cat still stood and functioned. Meanwhile a Jenner will get behind me and put four med. lasers into my back and I'm near crippled. I don't get it.

i swear they broke A/C 20's at extrme close range. On MANY occasions recently if i unload ac20 rounds into a target at approx 7m or less it will show a hit, light reticle red, but do ZERO damage. This is a shutdown mech and I am able to put 4 rounds of A/C into it and no damage.

From what i've been reading elsewhere in the forums there are apparently some pplz hacking hitpoints. So if u are unoading into someones rear & they aint dying, there a good chance that they are hacking

Also possibly lag shielding - might have had to lead the target more. As an Australian player (250 latency), I need to lead by a long, long way with my AC/20 to compensate for delayed fire and lag shielding.

My AC/20 blues is that they're more fragile than gauss rifles. On my HBK-4H the AC/20 blows up so quickly, even before losing the external armour. I don't even store the ammo in the same location as the AC/20.

Oh man, I've had AC/20 Cats completely miss my Commando going at 136 k/ph. Ping is definitely going to make that already horrible lead time impossible.

Just about everyone can agree AC/20 is too easy to blow-out, 8/10 slots means lots of internal damage.
