I have a doubt i can't seem to find an answer. I don't understand well how an hit location is destroyed, i mean when you take damage to a specific hit location first it takes out the armor of that location and after the armor is gone he starts to chew the internals, but how does that exactly works? It starts to damage the items (weapons, heatsinks and so on) first and once they are all destroyed it starts to chew the structure or it immediately begins to destroy the structure while trying to crit the items?
I bet the structure has an HP value like other items (engines have 15 HP, and items 10 if i remeber well) but how much HP has this structure? It's the same for all the locations? And it's the same for all the mechs?

Each armor location has hitpoints equal to 1/2 the maximum armor value of that location; the head has equal hitpoints.
I believe crits "immediately begins to destroy the structure while trying to crit the items", as I haven't seen locations get hit without taking structural damage (other than lagshield).

The item crits(typically 10 health) is separate from the internal section's health.

You can destroy a section by damaging all of it's internal HP without having critted any of it's contents.

All damage applied to an un-armoured section deals damage to the internal structure; each hit is also randomly determined to deal damage to a randomly rolled item in that section(empty slots, CASE, endo and FF are all re-rolled and cannot be damaged) . Each hit critting an item then also rolls whether it does 1x, 2x, or 3x damage to that item.
