I have always loved the Heavy class myself, just enough speed and plenty of power...those assault mechs are just too slow for me!

Medium or Heavy depending on how I feel and what other mechs are added.

I really need to get into the game to find out. Obviously the more heavily armed and armoured mechs will be very tempting, but I really hope Mediums will stand out as excellent all-rounders.

The Dragon seems very, very tempting, especially if I can put on a heavier autocannon :D The Centurion also looks good, so I'm hoping further revelations concerning modules and repair costs will make the Centurion more attractive and give me a good reason to pilot a Centurion instead of a Dragon.

I think i will go with one of the lighter heavy at first. Catapult K2 or Grand Dragon

Fast mediums for me unless i find a light capable of satisfying both my need for speed but firepower as well.
But i doubt that will ever happen since i'll be using a large laser and an AC2 with lots of ammo+CASE as the primary armaments.

It will depend on the available mechs available at launch. Once all are identified, I will go through and make my decision then.

The medium class allows you to do everything, Line combat, flanking and scouting.

You have the weight to tank/gank and ramping up the Speed does not completely nerf you in other areas.

Love the Medium class.

I think my 'Role' I, would invest time developing though, would be a mix of Commander and Scout though (if you can mix roles.)

Assault or heavy, I’m not worried about lack of speed, but I like to have some good long range fire-power to support my teammates from a distance. A Catapult sounds like a good place to start and maybe a Mauler later on. :D

Mediums and heavies for me.
Lights are usually too frail whereas assaults are way too slow.

Probably more towards the medium to heavy mechs for me. Though I do like to run around in a scout every so often.

Have always preferred the mediums.
Love the Assassin, Griffin and the Centurion.
So I know what cockpit I'll be sitting in to start with.
Will show weakness if/when the Orion or Archer appear.
Will use the lighs, but I won't sit in an assault if I can help it! [That from Lyran! :D I'll be shunned!]

Out of the choices of mechs available so far I'll probably go with the Cicada if the 3C variant is available. If not then I'll probably give the Jenner a shot.

My preferred class is heavy, with lights only slightly behind that.

Then mediums, and assaults last. Although 'last' is a bit of a misnomer....they're ALL kickass rides.

Most of the time I'll go with Mediums. They've got a decent amount of armour, weapons and speed to fulfill most roles on the battlefield. Depending on what's available at launch, hopefully I'll go with a Medium that I can scout and flank with effectively. If not, then I'll just go with the heavies. The Dragon looks tempting to pilot, anyways. :D

Mediums seem the most versatile class; I'll probably give them a shot along with heavies if I'm in the mood for something bigger.

I really can't decide.... I like the idea of scouting, being a spotter and taking small chunks out of bigger Mechs but on the flipside I don't want to be wasted as soon as a Heavy/Assault spots me.....

How effective are Mediums going to be? will they just be bullet magnets, too middle of the park to be really effective? quicker to get into battle but also not as hardy as a Heavy

Heavy, slow to get into battle but deal a good amount of damage and have good armour so fairly study in a fight

Assault, I'm guessing these are the damage dealers but again even slower to get into the fight than the Heavy...

Decisions Decisions, by the way I'm only spit balling here, not criticising any of the Mech Classes.

But.... on top of that surely load out is going to play a part in what Mech I should pick..... ARGHHHHH head going to explode....
