OK, I've played this game for a while and yes its had its ups and downs from patch to patch, BUT every time I play I enjoy the game...

ECM yep difficult to change tactics but doable (kill the mech with ECM) and use TAG.

LRM/SRM/SSRM, either takes some skill to use right but can be done with some luck and team work. But.. they can be taken out quite easy.

Lazer boating, it takes skill to keep cool and looks a lot easier than it is... Overcooked KaBoom!

Naughty Guass kittys and Cataphracts can be worked around most of the time.

LAG problems and people complaining about lack of performance, you need to look into not just upgrading the GPU or CPU but the entire system, from cable to Motherboard. A great GPU and CPU in a crap Board leads to problems and that can be fixed for less than £400. An entire gaming system can be built from scratch including PSU + GPU + BOARD + CHIP + MEMORY that WILL run this game on very high detail easily. And by the way a Laptop is not a PC - Its a portable sorage device thats fancy and doesnt have enough room to swing a cat in.

Anyhow as this game is supposed to be a team game and were supposed to work together why dont we get typing at the start of games? Or in our best intrests I think a Comm Rose should be Implemented to help non comms or different language users (Good Idea?) Somebody Poll it I cant renember how to do it....

M8 your entire post is only viable in a premade, it's never gonna happen in a PUG. We all know we have to dissable the ECM, Tag the enemy etc but in a PUG it's not gonna happen.

PUG gaming is nothing more than a huge brawling mess of pew pew lasers and base rushing now that the LRM and SSRM threat has gone. Wake up man and give your head a shake.

well its a good thing that some of us who run with groups pug also. i always tag or kill the ecm mechs.

Actually WarGruf, lag issues not only stem from your internet (not your hardware, thats just performance), but the server and the Devs crappy netcode (no offense Devs, but it is crappy, try try again.) which leads to a Jenner or Light that, while it APPEARS to be in front of you, the hit box is normally 10-15m in front or behind it, rather then in the model, as well as the Ballistic weapons projectile code being... odd. Up close a Ballistic projectile has a lag like path, stopping and then starting back up again, as well as a firing delay that shouldn't be there anymore, which leads to Ballistic weapons only being useful at range instead of their intended use as a brawling weapon.

New system? I'll bet large sums of cash that people in this forum getting poor performance have machine the likes which you have not seen. The game is poorly optimized.

RUNNING A 6-CORE WITH xFIRE GPU TOTALING 4GB SHOULD NOT GET U 40 MAX FRAMES.

Its because the game code is NOT optimized, so many people with amazing computers are only getting 20-40 frames.

Still playable but meh

lrm's were only for killing newbs anyway. even before ecm i didn't run ams on my atlas and never took enough lrm damage to get past light yellow armor, as pugs or even against other known premades.

i don't like how ecm was implemented, but your specific complaints aren't the main problem. your video of you running into a furball to go pewpew is purely a result of your giving up now that your streakcat and lrmboat awesome are crippled. hell take the mlas out of your awesome, slap a tag in there, and you'll still have 2 mplas; plus they're planning on increasing tag range to 750. still just a bandaid fix, but better than throwing your hands up in the air out of exasperation and saying "oh i'll just furball pew pew because there can't possibly be any other way to play now"

Lol @ the flames and ragers out there. All Im trying to do here is 1: Say thanks for a game that is getting better and 2: Try to help people. But I must be mad...

Plus I must be lucky I think because I dont really see much lag effects to be honest.. I know its reported and their fixing it but perhaps its just me,,,

Puging 95% of the time and back in the BF2 days their comms rose helped alot I thought, especially in public games.

P.s. Sorry Rex hope you didnt get your shoes bud....

How do you kill the ECM mech when they all have ECM?
