Um, not to sound ungrateful or anything in that the art posted is really nice. But, why not something more, well, interesting?

It would be one thing if there already wasn't cool artwork that some of us use for desktop wallpaper but this just does not compare.

I would say to my fine forum friends who are complaining..post up yours then show us all your talent but!!! it has to be connected to mwo,no art from someone else or from some other mech game. Give them their do with tags so that if your masterwork went out on internet people would know its this game. Use screen shots captured in game reel shots whatever or if you have talent make your own with photoshop or original art but dont just *****. Rather you guys posted somethign like "hey thanks for the wall paper I have a few one my own I've made. What do you guys think of this (link). Contribute to the community its a positive thing, needless ******** brings us all down. So post some good mwo wall papers I only have two so far would be nice to have more.

Awesome. I love it. Its about the immersive feel of the new game. I love the deep fog. Perfect screen shot. The hero in this shot is not the mech but the environment. Love it.

You know, this wallpaper is awesome. It has this Chesley Bonestell effect going on with the Jenner. Chesley's old pic of Saturn As Seen From Titan is known as the picture that launched a thousand careers. Why? Because it took an everyday landscape and brought it to life with a simple image of Saturn. Suddenly, you weren't looking at a simple image of the Rocky Mountains, you were on the surface of Titan, looking at Saturn. This was done without a rocket ship, comet, explosion, or any other sci-fi element in the picture. Just Saturn hanging in the sky above some mountains and BAM. You were on another planet. Remember, it was published in Life magazine in 1944, so all everyone had was print, TV, movies, and radio. 'Space' was represented by plastic ships on wire hangers in movies. And the you got THIS:



The new wallpaper has a little bit of the same thing going on. The foreground building could very well be something from a modern campus or military facility. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is cold and foggy, with some snow on the ground. Aside from the warmachine towering overhead, this is a fairly normal picture.

Now imagine the following: you just parked your car on the way to work. It's morning, foggy, and you have a ton of customers/bosses/machines that needed your undivided attention 5 minutes ago. You stop and catch your breath for a second before heading into work, admiring the view. Now take that mental image, look at the wallpaper with the Jenner, and there you go. You're in the Mechwarrior universe.

Until you walk face first into the floating Piranha Games logo floating in the middle of the air and fall on your ***.

Awesome Desktop PGI! This is definitlely a cool background, easy on the eyes, and too distracting whilst being cool to look at all the while. I still like the cockpit screens you guys are releasing as my background though, hehehe it's a nice thing to sate my hunger for the game to come, and I always get the urge to go for my joystick when I boot up my PC XD
