Conquest Mode
We've been play testing this for a few weeks now, things are coming along nicely! It's fun and requires lots of team coordination. We're fixing up some balance issues, resource/base locations, and general HUD/BattleGrid messaging to smooth out what's going on. We're taking a look at CB/EXP rewards, focusing on rewarding teamplay above all else. This means a reduction in kill/assist/damage done rewarding, and an increase in holding resources points. With a new mode, comes a new way to launch into matches. A new button will allow players to select/set their default mode to: Quick Play (random), Assault, or Conquest.
Think battlefield conquest mode.

You have a preconception of the ticket system. Preconceptions skew judgement. Recommend awaiting the revelation of what the designers of THIS game meant before passing judgement or forming an opinion based on the design of other games you may have known in the past.

This is why I assumed it would be respawn-enabled. I'm not sure the mode itself would make much sense if it was just replacing "Sit in the Red Square" with "Shoot the building in the Red Square".

Conquest mode will focus more on Resource Gathering, such as capturing the enemy base now in Assault. I believe there will be several resource points on the map available for capture, and the more resources gathered the more you gain (XP/C-Bills).
One thing I know for certain is that they are trying to focus more on capturing, 'n the bonuses of gathering said resource will be greater than kills / dmg / assist / spot / that sort of stuff. Not sure if they'll lower the reward for kills/dmg/assist/spot or just increase the reward for capture 'n gather but there you have it.
If they do implement a respawn / repair bays for longer matches, something I read on this thread earlier, sounds like a lot of fun to me. Just think, you're about to blow up... then you dash around the hill to your ECM and literally one machine gun ping away from death you repair to full (for the full price of course)... not sure how something like that would work or if it would have respawns or what but sure sounds cool to me.

Anything other than the ECM brawls we're currently experiencing! they can be fun if you go in equipped properly.. Ehrm srms and lasers//ballistics.

Mechwarrior 4 and Mercs had Repair and Ream buildings in the campaign ( the actual facilities found while in a mission anyways), and for this mode type it could actually work...
