Armorcast Atlas paint

The old Armorcast Atlas kits are very rare since they are no longer on sale you find some on eBay time to time. I have a spare kit I may consider parting with.
And here's some of the keyed joint inspired by Armorcast design I've been working on which can be retrofitted to models as (if they can accommodate it). It'll allow the arms/legs to be removed/replaced and add pose-ability.
The parts dimensions are 26mm in diameter and 20.5mm in depth. I'm working on a smaller version for smaller mechs. (for those curious types the practice torso you see is the discarded cast that broke my hunchback mould)
My next mech is almost ready to be unveiled! So stay tuned to my blog where I post sneaky peeks on what I'm working on and the processes involved in making the models.

To make one from sratch probably 250hrs or about 2months depending on work/family/weather. Painting one depends on the model but between 2 and 5 days

Its a personal commission I had done up for the Battletechnology Magazine's version of the Battleaxe.
Here is the original drawing from the BT Magazine way back when. I just fell in love with that design and I wanted to see an updated version of it.

Wasn't the Battle Axe originally a Ral Partha casting since RP was unsure if casting the Warhammer/Tomahawk violated the existing copyrights of Harmony Gold and Bandai? So to fill the orders, they had their own artist create close-but-not-quite versions of some of the 'mechs to avoid potential litigation. I know they've been featured and made canon designs in one of the newer TROs.
