Amidst the midnight snow of Frozen City Night, a drop of 8 mercenary 'mechs stride the slippery slopes of the cold (and lovingly heat reducing) landscapes. A single Yen Lo Wang with an AC/20 peeks around a building and spots a trial Awesome huddling a peak, trying to PPC snipe the Yen's allies. The Awesome is slow to accelerate and move, so the YLW takes his time to steady his aim and become stationary for the one second needed. The pilot exhales and pulls the trigger. A resounding explosion rocks his mech from the sheer power and recoil of the massive AC/20. The projectile soars through the air at supersonic speeds and then suddenly.... the projectile starts to wiggle, sliding side to side, up and down, and finally snaking around the Awesome, doing no harm to the vigilant sniper.
Thus ends the tale of the frustrated brawler.
I'm not going to complain or whine about MWO's currently horrific netcode. The devs get plenty of flak for that as it is. But I swear I cannot hold it in anymore

. I had a long talk with a friend who plays World of Tanks, exchanging hilarious tales of how bad the netcode is in MWO. I tell him I encountered a Hunchback at 60 meters moving slowly. I aim my AC/20 and apply a massive lag lead as I am always used to doing. Indeed my friend spoke of how at that distance one wouldn't even have to lead. But alas the pilot was spared by his lagshield! The AC round doth fired and fell short, landing behind the hunchback despite the lead! Indeed! What about those times I aim at the center rear of an opposing atlas, such a massive target, and easy to hit at 50 meters! But then suddenly the shot fires over his shoulder

!
What trickery is this!? By Davion I shall have your basecode on a stick! But alas I must give thee mercy, for thou art in Beta. My love for thee is great, and so is thy capacity for forgiveness! Network Coding is the work of hell it is! Mercy is to be granted! But this one grows weary of having to adapt to such lag trickery!
