If Dhs And Shs Really Must Be Balanced Against Each Other, Here's A Suggestion.

Personally, I don't think the SHS and DHS should be balanced against each other. The DHS is a HUGE cost UPGRADE, and so should be better, but PGI doesn't seem to agree. (If they have to be balanced against each other, why does the DHS upgrade cost so much?)

However, regardless of that, heatsinks should be balanced against weapons that use ammo. PGI doubled armor and tripled fire rates, but REDUCED heat dissipation for DHS and left SHS alone. This gives ammo based weapons a significant advantage.

So here's my suggestion. Give us coolant pods, handled like ammo. Each point of coolant spent would immediately remove one point of heat (make the command the same as the overheat override, except that this is what it does when you aren't overheated). It would also produce a cloud of steam (because that looks cool), and have a chance of damaging a heatsink.

Now, SHS would have much less risk of coolant blowout. DHS could go back to their proper DOUBLE efficiency, but have a higher risk of blowout if you use coolant.

Exactly how much coolant you get per ton, and the precise chances of heatsink damage would need tweaking.
