As i read these forums, i try to look for what the hive mind in general says.

I have noticed a few misconception that has appeared about players who are in "Pre-mades" and are on Voice Coms.
(I say all this from experiences of playing mostly pre-made games only)

The Comstar server is the most common place to go for playing with others. Almost no one knows each other on there beyond dropping with them a few times before. New players join all the time and all are welcome. If you have a question, you will be answer kindly and most likely with to much information.

Some people reported on the forums before that they were harassed, or other assorted things of the likes on the teamspeak. This is very uncommon and if such a thing happens to you, please report the players and try it with another group.

Another common idea is that all commanders are ego hungry monsters. This is simply untrue. There are a handful of these commanders out there, and if they happen to be in your drop. Leave.
More often then not, its four players who barely talk to each other except for basic information. It's rarely the Com's intense image we get. It just 4 Good players dropping in the same team for the most part. If your lucky, you will get a talkative group where you will usually end up laughing half the time.

Another thought that is actually true is, Pre-made players will usually recognize each others names. There are actually few pre-made out there (Usually 20-50 active on comstar) so if you know even one name on the enemy team, then you almost can guarantee your facing a pre-made. This can make your group more combat aware or sometimes end in laughs and giggles as you watch 2 new players face off B)

Now, I'm sure you are thinking "A Wall of Text".
My simple message is Pre-mades and teams that are on Voice coms are not bad. Try them.

If your a user reading this, please try to support it. A funny story or even a +1 is nice.
Let's spread the word that being in Voice Com's is a good thing for everyone involved.

Actually the biggest misconception about voice comms seems to be that people who use it feel that people who don't must not know about it and how wonderful it is. :)

Read carefully. This is just what i gathered from the hive mind of this forums. I could be incorrect on certain parts.
I based what i said off what i have experienced. What i have experienced could be completely different from others.

No offense intended, but there are a million posts trying to recruit people into voice chat. I think that people know it is there, they just choose not to use it. It gets a bit tiring to see all the TS cheer leading.

This has been my experience too. I've mostly "grouped" on the NGNG server. I call it "semi-premades". Most of them are very casual, just taking it to the level of focus fire on target Alpha sort of thing. Some are more precise with planning, others are kinda just pugs that talk while doing their own thing. It's still a lot more fun than regular pugging regardless.

Of course people should be able and free to enjoy the game as they see fit. If they dont want to use voice comms that is their prerogative.

However the same people should also accept that against any team that has decided to use VC they will be at a huge disadvantage. That isnt a game balance issue, its a fact of life that a group that can communicate with each other effectively will nearly always trounce one that cant.

The biggest misconception about voice comms is that it provides some sort of tactical advantage and turns PUGs into mech-killing leviathans rather than just being a place to talk bollocks with your mates while playing MechWarrior.

A group of 4 usually makes the game easily. Proper scouting and concentrated fire do it, and the level of players doesn't really matter if you're facing pugs. Easy kill is followed by another easy kill. I love playing in a team of 4. Easy money :)
