Why is there no XP granted for base defense?

If I hang back (or go back) to defend against a base cap it only costs me. It costs repairs and lost XP and C-Bills that would have been gained assisting in the cap of the enemy base.

Are there plans to change this?

You would have to do it in such a way as to not reward people that just sit afk at the base.

I would not be opposed to a bonus for defense. It could be super duper simple like spottin bonuses where you just pop in the circle while its bein capped and you get money/xp, or it could be a bit more complicated and have it so you get more money the longer you stay and defend it. Either or.

Really though, I'm totally for anythin that gives you more bonuses for tryin harder.

Edit - On top of that, addin incentives to actually defend your base outside of just base camp mode activate is a good thing.
