Ecm Mode Switching

It's as if there's a macro they're running that turns it from counter to disrupt and back swiftly. This way, mech signatures have been flashing instead of disappearing or being shown. It seems, to me, that it is a way to get around using 2 ECMs for both disrupting and countering.
Anyone else notice this?
Idea: Make it so that there's a second delay before you can switch modes again, if there isn't already such a delay.

That's not what I'm saying. It seems they're switching back from one mode to another rather swiftly. Repeating the process.

Put it on your mouse, or wherever, and you can too!

Yes switching to Counter Mode so one's team can possibly get missile lock and switching back as soon as Betty says your in deep. I sure do do this. and it's not a macro. it's using your hardware to the maximum performance.

Still don't think you're understanding what I'm seeing. The enemy ECM is always going from counter to disrupt to counter continuously. It's what it seems to look like on my side.
Not sure if it's a bug or if someone is using a macro to get the button to keep pressing over and over.
Can someone confirm for me (since I am now at work) that there's a delay to the mode switching?

I have ran into more than one occasion when in a situation 1v1 ECM Raven vs ECM Raven... where I could not counter the opposing ECM in either mode... so in a sense the ECM bubble was always up. Which I'm guessing is accomplished by the opposing mech rapidly switching between modes, which basically meant both parties could maintain a Streak lock, even when one person switched back and forth from disrupt or counter.
ECM does have a delay but I'm wondering if you set up your keys to oscillate the ECM mode, either via mouse button or macro, or what have you, then it seems you have open field for Streaks. I'm not sure that there is an advantage since both mechs can then use Streaks because no single ECM is being cancelled (well in actuality it is being constantly countered...
2 mechs in disrupt, both can use streaks, 2 mechs in counter both can use streaks, one counter 1 disrupt no streaks...
1 mech oscillating ECM both can use streaks and maintain lock, no matter what mode the non oscillating ECM mech is in.
obviously this would mean nothing when there are more than one opposing ECM as your ECM will be out countered 100% by 1 enemy mech in each mode.

Rebind your Toggle ECM Mode key to something easy to hit repeatedly while doing everything else you need to do in your mech... say right mouse button.
Then you just click your right mouse button repeatedly during fights. I even had an old mouse that had a toggle for the mousewheel "clicks," which would unlock the mousewheel so it could spin freely... Would be perfect in this game for just this tactic, except you can't seem to bind mwheel to anything.
I see other players doing this all the time, and I have no problem with it because it does not help them dodge 2x SRM4 and 3x MPL from my Jenner.
