So I was thinking since the Black Friday MC deal wasn't popular on the forums, and we don't have the numbers but I know a couple people who bought into it and many people who didn't. The people who didn't (myself included) are very interested in some sort of bundle deal that is some sort of decent deal like the Founders...
Consider a Hero mech, some MC, and a month of premium time for a reasonable $40 and I would spend on top of my Legendary status and I know a half dozen people that would buy it for themselves, several (myself included) would buy one or more for friends as well.

I also had this idea earlier and it's such a no brainer that they should just run with it.

I agree, and I think a LOT of people are waiting for this since the Dev's have said they would do things similar to the founder's packs. I'm worried they may be waiting for clans to do this, instead of taking advantage of the 'open beta" thing and putting forward a christmas deal.

So basically what we need is something like they put on the front page from today's ISN News Flash, and get a circulating oetition to maybe convince PGI to do bundle deals like you are proposing Aym.

I'm planning on buying MC that will hopefully be on sale around the coming holidays.

It will probably be the last time I buy MC for at least half a year or more.

The juicier they make it the more they are likely to get out of me for one last huzzah of throwing money at this game.

Just saying they need to make it count. Black Friday was weak.

i said "unsure"

it would need to be a reasonable hero-like bonus to a mech of my choice.. they are not even planning any mech i would want an actual "hero" variant of, so i don't expect any holiday (or other) promotion that is strictly mech centered (ie. a hero mech of any of the mechs we have) to get me to spring for it. my mc are for time and bays. they add a wolfie or some Clan mechs... wellllll.... that would be different.

Would love to see how some non-founders feel about this.

As I said in another post the ratio of playing grind to MC cost to purchase mechs is out of balance for my money. The game is fun (Kudos PGI), and fun enough that playing the game against paying $30 for a mech is going to win out in playing the game. Couple that with the rampant AFK/Suicide farmers, and well I don't have much motivation to get monetarily involved at this price. Something like the founders got (I know I know nothing EXACTLY like, or BETTER) would be great. Not even as great a deal as they got, but something. Maybe a c-bill bonus version of one of the other founding 4 mechs, the commando, centurion, dragon, and awesome (could be all prime like the founders) with like $25-$40 bucks worth amount of C-bills and a month of premium time, for $40 or so would sell like hot cakes. I would definitely buy one, maybe two, and I have other free2play friends that feel the same way.

I selected unsure.

This would highly depend on cost and what I obtained. Quite frankly I am not very interested in spending a ton of cash on any gamess like this any longer. I find it to be highway robbery. $25 for this mech, $10 for a cool paint job, several bucks for another mech bay. This all adds up. I would rather pay $50 for the entire game and keep it simple, grind for all the extras.

I love this game and yes I bought the Yen-lo Wang and it rocks, however I made a choice to use basic mechs and even the trial mechs to try them out and have found it very fun and challenging to beat up on the Cash/Cred mechs with a free one. Using the weaker trial mechs has forced me to alter play style, play more conservatively and survive longer. Yeah I am not top of the score board every time but most times very close and a great value to the team.

Just saying that the prices on these pay to play games is off the chart and I am no longer going to buy in until they reduce prices a ton.

Well, it's like $1.25 for a mechbay, less than $2 even at the worse dollar to MC ratio price.

Prediction: After holiday sale, all holiday cockpit items are half off.

Plus a free bump.

I've spent plenty of money on myself as a founder, but I would definitely buy something like this as a gift for some of my non-founder friends.

So they got the clue from the Black Friday sale being wonky, let's hope they get a good bundle offer for our friends!

"From Dec. 13th thru 18th, Buy a MC Package and get a 20% MC bonus." Seems the Saving/Sales are already on.

- I would only spend MCs on premium time, if I had a start & stop button there. It should count my game time and not count down, when I sleep.
- I would only buy a hero mech, if I could buy the bare chassis without paying MCs for internal equipment I already own. This is wasted money - real money. I already have the equipment in my Mech-Lab, so why paying MCs for things I do not want to buy?
- I will buy more MCs if there is more content. Right now, there is no need to give away more money for MCs besided of mechlab-slots. Give me a real good hero mech (bare) and I think about it.

To bad EVERY other MMO and or FTP game didn't do just that. Imagine how happy those "casuals" would all be. Buy 1 months worth of Premium, then play the game for 1 hours a day...for 2 years (or 23 months Free while on Premium).

It just doesn't seem that doing it, your way, would be financially feasible really. A Mega Bonus, but not feasible.

The premium time forces you to play, but you are the one who paid the money. I do not think that it would be fair to put causal players at a disadvantage. I'm very active, so I would profit myself from the constant countdown vs. causal players. But my mindset is based on fairness, and I do not find a valid reason, why causal players should be punished.

It is more the other way around: The more players we get (who will pay for premium time), the better it is. And this WILL include causal players. We may even rely on them, because our community is relativly small (compared to things like WoW and similar online games)

We could also change the premium time to match-counter. Instead of giving you a day of premium time, you will get 50 matches or so. Take whatever you want. The freedom of choice will attract players, while the limitation will push them away.
