As everybody knows I don't like ECM, it's not that I play a LRM or Streak boat, I don't like it because it's not canon, it does to much for its size, it makes a weapon system less viable as well as some chassis so I don't know how that increases strategy, also it takes out the real war feel to me, and it just feels wrong.
I would like to suggest modifications to it. Right now its the scissor to to many things.
1. Keep the 180 radius and all the mechs that can equip ecm.
2. Ecm negates Narc, Bap, and artimis, which is nurfing lrm.
3.cuts off enemy mechs from relaying target info to allies while inside the 180 bubble.
That's all.
So to make people happy fix the ssrm and lrm problem by requiring pilots to reacquire lock after each shot.
Make ssrm spread across the whole body, reduce knock around and the stupid smoke.
Now as far as this scout issue can we make every mech have a toggle of active or passive radar 300m now it makes this invisible stuff seem to be fair. I can't detect or target them until they are within 300m but they can't detect or target me either.
To me this seems to makes it more canon and people happy. What does the community think

By the title, you already know there are a bunch of ECM threads. Did you really think this does not fit into any of the categories provided in those threads?

Fortunately, no. If I were a moderator, I would have simply merged it with another thread or closed it pointing to the other one.
Makes it a win/win for both of us really. You get to spam the forum and I get to have the satisfaction of pointing it out.
