First and foremost, this is NOT yet another thread ranting about how ecm broke the game, how matchmaking is screwed, how PUG stomping is still rampant, blah, blah, blah.....

Honestly, i'm in no opinion to say anything about any of that and pretty much anything else, simply because i can't even play a match to see how things are going.
ever since the last patch, my ping wich was usually at a steady 150ms (i play from Brazil so that's as good as its gets around here), to a staggering variation of 650ms to 1300ms.

Yep, thats right, 1300ms, with average of 12 to 23 fps throughout the match.
simply put, since last patch i cant shoot a freaking ac bullet to the point i aim if i stand still and do nothing, and even on the rare occasions i can hit something (usually a teleporting ASSAULT mech). it wont register, or register in somewhere miles away from where the shoot hit. same thing for lasers.

Flame away if you want, but it's been quite a while that every patch came with some performance crashing bug or something, but this time they unleashed me a real game killer. impossible to even try to play like this. the few matches i tried i did even less damage than suicide farmers.

1300 ping? Probably an issue on your end (and unfortunately likely not an issue that can be solved)

The current patch hasn't increased the network latency on the internet between you and the United States; something else has.

These things happen on the internet. Usually it's an overloaded or failed router at a peering point. It can sometimes take a long time before a backbone provider even acknowledges an issue like this, never mind fixes it because it doesn't affect non-interactive things such as web browsing (for the most part), email, streaming, etc.

Do you realzie that we (yes WE I am in Brasil as well) are facing the problems that Embratel backbone to US is passing by? THat is not related to the server. ITs the crappy international link that do not have a backup because embratel and Claro lieks to steal us as much as they can

Ok... this thread got derailed in a BIG way.

To the OP, I'm not sure what caused such a big jump in ping from Brazil to Eastern Canada, but it wasn't us.
