There are so many problems with MechWarrior Online right now that PGI needs to fix before even contemplating rolling out Community Warfare.

Which really means they should be done the majority of the coding and should by now be able to give us detailed info about what it will contain and im pretty pissed they are not saying anyhing about it.
I really want to know how the houses vs merc units is going to work so i can decide if i want to join a unit or just play for a house.

The 90 days after Open Beta promise in all likelyhood is not gonna happen. I would honestly venture a guess of around April at the earliest and August at the latest.

Russ: Yeah I agree it is, but I don’t have a very good answer for you today. I think what we’re gonna have to do is get Heather and Stephanie to co-ordinate with you guys and make sure you get a great interview with Brian, our creative director, sometime soon.
I’ve been really pushing on him to do a big community update on community warfare. We know everybody wants it, we know everybody’s been waiting for it, it’s a major feature of our game and you know, we’re getting close to it. We wanted to take care some of these loose ends, well, they’re more important than loose ends, like matchmaking phases 1 and 2 in particular with 3, visual customisation, and some of these last pieces of technology in the game. Then we can really start to focus on that next major launch feature which is basically, of course, community warfare.
So if you run into Brian Ekman, start pestering him to post that community update!

If they delay it that long im done with the game. You dont miss this major of a feature being implemeted by half a damn year, thats just insanity.
Seriosly how do they expect people to keep playing baserush ECM's online for another almost year before CW.
This game needs CW now even more than it needs the netcode and MM fixed.

No offense but, what about Community Warfare would change the customization or the game mechanics of how the game is played? I mean if CW was in right now, you would have a big map telling you why you are fighting, who you are fighting for, and where. But the game would still be the same. Sure you would be fighting under a house, or a merc unit, or as a lone wolf. The core of the game would still be the same, so it would still be ECM Warrior Online.

All I mean is that if you are expecting the game to completely morph into some entirely different entity, I hate to burst your bubble but it's going to be the same as it is now, possibly with a little more depth and some more backstory and story elements of what you are doing and why. But the game itself is still going to be the same. It's still going to be ECM Warrior, it's still going to have the assault game mode and it will probably have the conquest game mode, though we have yet to see what that entails.
It's a long way off, things could change, we said that back in July and August, look where we are now.
