Okay so I read this thread from start to end and I still don't get it Why toast, pancakes and waffles?

Toast is a bit ordinary, something you'd eat everyday without a second thought, while pancakes and waffles you'd only have occasionally and are almost the same thing just cooked different - both of them fail with out ice-cream, topping, sugar, butter or other condiments. So what's the obsession with these breakfast products?
