This problem has been a plague upon my house since the 27 Nov patch. The only time it does not effect me is on 8 man drops. I can play 8man all night an never have an issue. Single or 4man drops and it comes right back.
I've been following all the threads about this and gone through all manner of tweaks and changes to mitigate this one and nothing has worked. Considering the number of people this is affecting AND that I can play 8man with no issues, I am very inclined this is the result of some code involved in the match making. The 8man is simplier and pared down system that isn't checking for weight limits and trying to match up players. It just takes one 8man group and dumps them in with another 8man group.
So, the question is: Has anyone else with this problem tried running 8man? What were the results???
I'm also willing to get on TS, meet up with other guys having this problem and test some big 8man drops and see if we have disconnects.

I've re-installed the game. I've updated to the latest beta vid drivers (from the whql ones). I've tried various vid card settings. I've tried disabling the AV.
Again
Q9400 (quad 2.6)
nVidia 560 ti
4gb ram
Win 7 64b
I do not have any issues running any games in the crisis series (also uses cryengine) or any of my other games -BF3, STO, DoW2,
I run Teamspeak when I play. Happy to turn on any additional debugging if it will help.
See you on the battlefield...looking afk...because I've crashed to desktop again.

When I wanted to play today in the morning I got 10 CTDs in a row, so I started to look if I could find what causes the issue.
I checked the crashdump.dmp file, there I saw that the issues where caused by nvd3dum.dll.
As a result of my finding I uninstalled the graphic card drivers(newest stable), and replaced it with an older driver (302.82) additionally I unchecked any 3D vision option during the driver install.
After that my CTDs were (almost) gone, I only had one more CTD in about 15 games and when I checked the crashdump.dmp it was caused by some cryengine .dll.
At least this procedure helped for me, maybe it works for others too. If you want to downgrade your GFX card driver please keep in mind that you should deinstall your current driver before doing so in the system center(installed programs and device manager).
Maybe one more thing to mention, I play in windowed mode only, as I have the feeling that the game crashes much more often in fullscreen mode.
