Penny Arcade comic strip from 4 Dec 2002 - yes that's more than 10 years ago!

I'm guessing River City may have been in Mechassault owing to this strip:


Which is from 15 Nov 2002.

I'm working my way through the archive - this is where I'm currently up to.

Oh and yes - Mechassault does have a river city - 2 horrible videos linked.



I wonder if the other current maps have origins in the old games.

Mechassault you say?! Ah good times, I remember as a 10 year old playing it alongside Mechwarrior 3.

I love everyone's bi*tching over Mech Assault. It was a fun game, even if it did stray far from canon. If everyone could get over their fanboy attitudes, maybe they could've appreciated it for what MA was; One of the best (and first) games that you could play multiplayer of Xbox Live.
