Absolutely looking forward to anyone who would like to join up. Don't hesitate if you're new or don't have much experience with the battletech universe or anything of the sort. That's why we join these things, to learn and grow and blow things up!

Welcome to the BT universe then, Liku. If you're curious, there's an excellent primer to the universe for download as PDF from this page - the 'Universe guide' was written for the board game but it's just as true for MWO. (And mentions several of the mechs you'll see in use here.)
For general universe questions, a good starting point is the BT wiki at http://www.sarna.net/ (or these forums; BT fans are always glad to show off their knowledge.)
