Title says it all. Sorry for the rant. How many have frustrations like these also?

If that happens, I usually lose the game, like the rest of my team. We stand together, we fall together!

I'm maybe a little disappointed in the performance of the others, but they will hopefully get better with time and training. Not everyone can be at the same level as the others anyway, so there is no need to be frustrated or even angry.

It happens and it can be frustrating at times. What really bothers me is when I'm the one that does no damage and the rest of the team did their jobs. It totally sucks to feel like dead weight.

Agreed in full.

Everyone is different. There was a time when you were the low-scoring person on the team. I've been doing an average of 250-350 damage with my CTF, but have had instances as high as 500-600. But either way, worrying about someone else's damage output isn't as important to how effective a teammate they were (more closely reflected in the XP).

It's like a KDR, a near-useless statistic when used to equate the worth of a player.

Also, keep in mind that damage is finite. So there is only so much damage to go around. So if you are getting crazy high numbers, your team has a smaller pool of damage to build up in their scores. I suppose the total amount of damage would be different for each match, but it's the sum total of all the damage the mechs can take that dropped on the opposing team.

Not to interrupt your bragging and what not of course, just thought you might want to consider that part of it as well.

A headshot downs a mech after only 18 damage.

Just thought I would point that out.

more damage doesn't always mean the best. The two light mechs that caused the enemy team to split in half, giving your main force the advantage, arent lesser beings because they did less damage.

All part of the PUG life. I've capped while doing little damage, or been focused fire on and taken out quickly while my pug mates spread their damage across 4 mechs. It's why I prefer premades if I have the time.

Nope, really not, if everyone was allowed to be a ninja, ninjas won't be half as cool.

actually i couldn't care less about the score or damage as well but when I notice we lose the fight because others can't deal damage, it feel frustrating as if only a few more did more damage then we might have won.

Its ok, people play to have fun. It just sucks to lose knowing you did your part but others didn't.

I wouldn't say I'm frustrated, but similarity, I usually do more than others. As an unhappy, now defunct, LRM Carrier, I'm told to to be the guy that couldn't "measure up" or wasn't good enough to do anything other than "hold down fire while auto lock missiles pour out", when I complain about the patch. Yet I'm doing much better at brawling in this patch than I was before. Shouldn't I be doing worse than before? If the patch is so good like all you brawler fanboys say? Or just as bad, at least? My cheeselaserboat 4P can easily be 1-4 every match just going pewpew with nothing but ML. It doesn't get any easier than this. In fact, I had a harder time getting these damage numbers before WITH the LRMs shooting at me. Now, it's just easy.(Even for me) This morning I grinded on my 4SP with 4E+2 Streaks(That I can't fire half the time). Every game I played except 1 I was on the upper half of my team's chart.(And in that 1, I was 5th) For a brawler, this game is easy as eating a cake now. Most of the time, there's no danger or even caution needed. In almost every game, I just zerged forward with the stomptrain(all my allies) and just went pewpew until one team died. Literally. Straight across the field. Over the ridge. Across the lake. No caution once so ever. And I placed. Every match.

Now I'm literally just going pewpew powpow in my 3L Raven I finally saved up money for. It's a joke. LRMs can't fire at me at all. I almost feel sorry for the few enemies that try the build only to be totally unable to shoot at my team. Because that was my role. And it used to work. And it used to be fun. Now I'm an ECM rat like everyone else. You all happy? If I see an enemy ECM, I just switch mine to counter mode, then my 2 Streaks work.(When they should work by default) It's pretty funny too the amount of survivability an ECM Mech has now too. You just run around, no one can hit you. I lost in a Caustic fight before posting this and I was the last one to die on my team. Because I just strafed around. There's no knockdowns. No LRMs. No streaks(Unless they disrupt you, in which case you can then shoot yours too) It's a disgrace.

Yes.

Sometimes I wonder if they are even trying to aim and fire, or if they are just running around like a headless chicken.

It's actually 33 damage to kill a mech with a headshot in MWO.

no, I hate it more when *I* get 100 damage because my team mates have killed everything before I manage to drag my fat arse half way across the map to where all the fun stuff is happening :)

wall of text about LRM's

try it again with A. a friend / team mate and B. a TAG on your LRM boat
my friend was getting 600+ damage and mulitple kills assists in this setup and I was finishing off anything stupid enough to get too close to us

and the best thing is that no one expects LRMs so they just come bounding at you over open ground with the ECM on thinking if they move side to side a tiny bit then nothing you do will hit them

It happens, but I don't hate it.

If anything, I tested my skills against uneven odds and came off as the skilled one. I only hate it when something goes horribly wrong and I'm the one who added nothing to the team.

you think you could ever get even remotely near that damage total without 7 other teammates taking hits for you, etc?

thank you for playing, heres a board game version as a parting gift for playing "lack of forethought when posting"

come again!

You shouldn't have to use 1 gun just to enable another to work in the first place. A better solution is to "not" use the second, then you "don't" need the first. Get it? No other weapon has this problem. The Tag should just be a buff, not a magic jesus beam that enables you to shoot at all. Maybe next patch things will get a little bit better when it gets 750m. But the other issues will still remain. ECM and its jesus variants will still be OP. BAP will still be trash. Etc... etc...
