Darkfall I started off with some crappy items and some rusty sword....and someone took them from me.

This game is NOTHING for anyone that has ever played something that is ACTUALLY grindy.

I have yet had to hang out near a cave to farm goblins for some expensive cheese for a crafting recipe.

In those regards, I think we're fine.

People confuse grinding with any action to gain a certain result.

It's probably one of the most fun games I've played with the goal of "leveling up" while you play.

I think the only problem with the grind in this game is not the speed, but the fact that it's a PVP game, and a "level 1" player (newbie in a trial awesome) can (and will often) be matched up against a group of 4 "level 70" players in tricked out competition-level mechs.

I'd still advocate for trial only matchmaking

When we're both in our preferred brawlers (and not lagged to hell. I'm usually pretty good, i swear), we'll duel again.
Then, you will add my name to your list.

What makes this a really classy challenge is that you didn't state which list you'd be on ;)

I really look forward to getting a good duel against you, man. Do 8-mans and we're really likely to run into each other. R-sauce respects duels 100%.

Think of this as training for community warfare where people won't be able to ask for daycare matchmaking based on their skill level.

Even the most new of newbs will want to jump RIGHT into the Universe map and "make a difference".

If anything I feel matchmaking as it is, is but a stop gap for getting us to community warfare, so who really cares?

Give us the bare minimum and get us claiming planets. (if they can get it done right.)

My codex would have a mixed list of both epic win and fail including a 2 headshot in a row kill on an brawling Awesome at range using a Gauss Centurion, getting one shotted in the back by a Yen Lo while trying to dodge out of the D3 cave exit on Frozen City and a fairly long list of times my poor Cicadas have been demolished by Jenners and Commandos. One kill on Russ in his Centurion back in CB on Caustic Valley. (I so wish I had a screen shot of that) 10 or 15 headshot kills using LRMs and an utterly absurd cap win in my CDA-3M on Forest Colony where I defended cap against 2 Atlai and an Awesome for the 3 minutes it took my team to kill the rest of their team and limp to cap. I could not make that last one up if I tried. Oh and a very silly last game of the night, all light game where my team and I won by ambushing our own cap on Frozen City. Jenners! Jenners everywhere!
