streaks fire when they have a sure hit, but once in flight, the other mech can twist, turn, jump jet, move behind an obstacle.

Streams should not be fire and forget wonder weapons.

You forgot the Vulture/Mad Dog

No, I didn't. The Vulture is required to have, at most, 3 missile slots on any variant. Except the A, which by default carries 6 SRM6s which, as I pointed out before, would be outclassed by an Arctic Wolf that's only 66% of the weight, especially with the introduction of Streak SRM4 and 6s.

The Catapult is only a taste of things to come if they introduce any of these variants with boating staying as effective as it is.

SSRM2 be fine where they are if you cant get more than 2 or 3 on your mech and actually could fight back ECM Lights with them when you had a TAG on them.
The Streakcat cant selftag so its still toned down to a healthy level of firepower while SSRM keep to be a reliable counter to Lights for other Mechs.

Seriously, just take streaks completely out of the game. PGI will never get them balanced because the mechanics of how they work is completely flawed. They were never meant to be instant hit homing missiles. All they are suppose to do is not let you fire if your aim is off.

Wrong. Next?

ECM mechs should NOT be allowed to use SSRMs or LRMs
It seems hypocritical to use a weapon that is jammed by your own ECM

SSRMs should lock on heat signatures
