1). The Stalker hopefully has laughably weak rear armor to offest the fact that it is a large Hindenburg of Firepower
2). After reading up the the varients, one of the Stalker varients can mount ECM. When I read this I got scared again.
STK-3Fb - The 3Fb variant of the Stalker carries a Guardian ECM Suite in the center torso, upgrades the large lasers to extended range versions, and adds Artemis IV fire control systems to the LRM-15s that replace the Jackson LRM-10 launchers. The SRM-6 racks are gone, and the standard heat sinks were replaced with seventeen double heat sinks.
So hopefully, the devs won't let this gargantuan beast have ECM, otherwise, death will come swiftly for many....
Oh, and for light mechs, watch out for the alternative.....
STK-3Fk - A unit used by the 4th Sword of Light, this variant of the Stalker replaces the heat sinks with Double Heat Sinks, adds Artemis IV FCS to the LRM 10 launchers, and replaces the SRM-6 packs with four Streak SRM-2 systems.
So even after mounting 4 Streak 2 packs, you can still put 2 more if you replace the LRM 10. I am scared now, I'm going to put my Commando and my Raven into retirement after this coming patch.
Hell, maybe I'll go Catapult.... Yuk Yuk Yuk.....

Lol well the streak variant will just have to be kept at an distance of 280-300. Not like the Stalker is fast or anything. So avoiding it shouldn't be a problem.

The -3Fb is not the same mech as the -3F (you'll note that is the designation of the stock Stalker in the sarna sidebar where you pulled that quote). Fairly likely we'll be getting the straight up F, not the sub-variant b or k models.
Of course that won't stop people from loading them with streaks and srms.

Ever.
I must now create a petition to have betty's voice in the centurion changed to that of AHNOLD.
ONE LINERS!
"Incoming mizziles. You need to seek some cover, weed"
"A-A-A-A-A-A-A (Ahnold laugh) - Dat splatterd de robot everywheah! It was... disgaussting!"
"GET TO DE DROPSHIIIIIIP"
And instead of alarms blazing when you're at critical damage, it needs to blare out that freakish noise Arnie makes when he's getting hurt. The one that sounds like a yak being strangled.
Screw it, i'm buying a cent. There was a thread around here somewhere about editing Betty's voice....

Also, it's not a stalker if the missiles don't hit the torso on the way out.

The MWO stalker doesn't have that bulge in the torso, which is both far more sensible and far less funny.

And for all of you moaning about the legs....look it up. The legs of the Stalker bend both directions. I can only hope that they do when it walks in MWO...but we'll see.

So you're saying you'd rather have the stalker not be as good so that it can look prettier?
