No need to remove the minimum range on the PPC, it has always had it. But they do need to add the minimum range for the gauss rifle.

And yet there is no min range on the ERPPC.. which is clearly meant to be the snipers weapon given it's ludicrously superior range.
It needs to go. Weapons in mechwarrior shouldn't have minimum ranges this isn't a TT. Balance doesn't translate between the two in that kind of fashion. If they are really concerned about a 10 damage high heat weapon being some CQC Monster then they should add friendly splash damage to it. (why they would be concerned about this I don't know considering what the AC20 is in theory capable of. To say nothing of the very strong Component Destructive capabilities of an AC10, or AC20 have compared to a PPC)

Do you know what other weapons had minimum range?. AC2, AC5, Gauss Rifle, LRM. All removed except the LRM.

i agree the min range for an er ppc should come down to that of a ppc or down to a large laser.
yes the gauss really needs it's brawl capability toned down and the explosion ratio toned a bit down with it.

-Keep the minimum range for standard PPCs. The heat tradeoff in this game seems to be more applicable to minimum range, and there are very few circumstances where the range difference between ERPPC and PPC would have made a significant difference. +50% heat for a weapon that works in CQB as well as a KM downrange seems reasonable.
-Convergence and delay are the main crippling factors, and why I use LLAS instead of ERPPC
-Worry about the basics (damage, heat, etc) before implementing anything "fancy" like HUD disruption. We already have enough of that from ballistics.

PPC

in the weapon loadout, instead of the slightly derisive snort that provokes at the moment. They're probably the franchise's most iconic weapon, but at the moment they're just not as fearsome as they ought to be. I want that sight to provoke the same wariness as seeing "AC20 AC20" or "GAUSS RIFLE GAUSS RIFLE" does.
