Am I the only one that think, the Stalker model is COMPLETELY messed up ?

Posted Image

1) upper torso - too high, should be much lower
2) nose - too small compared to conceptart it should be bigger, massive

whole mech look like catapult.

UGLY.

tell you the truth, as long as it can shoot and does its job im quite fine with it. I really don't mind the look actually. besides if we make the nose bigger it just becomes a bigger target anyway. but i will agree that the legs look meh. Overall still looks abit intimidating.

I have to admit - the concept art looks awesome, but the model is just ... I don't quite know how to put it. It's slightly off. "Uncanny valley"?

I like it, the nose has a certain WWII-bomber look to it that's quite cool.

I'd have to see it move to make a final judgement though.

And, if it's big enough (it should be *massive*, right?), nobody's going to confuse it with a Cat, ever.

the uncanny valley refers to how realistically human a robot appears, when it appears almost human but isnt quite perfect it falls into the uncanny valley

I think its good but if the whole torso was longer it would look much better i would trade some hight for more length in the Torso my self as that would make it look better.

I think people have gone nuts, it looks identical to the concept art. What throws it off is seeing it from different angles and poses.

Are you serious? If you make it look like it did in MPBT, it would pretty much be death on two legs, a zeppelin like body on massively tall stilt like legs. As a soon to be Stalker pilot, I like the new design. While it does resemble some aspects of the Catapult, I don't feel the new model is a departure from the original Battletech concept.

It was and is ugly, but it wouldn't be a Stalker if it was pretty. Although it looks quite like the concept as well, which is a fair bit better than the original.

I'm not sure they raised the arms as much made the torso's smaller, which would in effect, raise the arms slightly. The main body just looks to be a bit smaller than the concept appeared, which may be a good in game effect as it will give it a smaller profile.

I always thought it looked ugly but that is what I like about it. It was always a mech to be feared in the table top game. It could take a pounding and still heap on the damage. Can't wait for the 18th I have three bays all ready and waiting.

If anything it should look more like the Japanese art does. At least that has arms! However, I like the stockiness of the present art. It could have a bit lower center of gravity, but I still like the look.

Probably because they used the same wire frame to implement it. =P

Could be for balancing that they made the torso shorter. I think that part is fine, but i'd like the upper torso to be lowered more to the bottom torso to make it look bulkier.
