Agree 100%.. nothings gonna maul MWO, they ruined themselves and there's not much to maul anyway.
Really feel sorry for the rusted on people, they deserved better, it's quite pitiful.. it reminds me of someone sitting next to a dead decaying person, thinking that they are tired, and will wake up soon, and rage at anyone that tells them different..
There's going to be much spoken about how MWO died, the incompetence of devs, the greed of the publisher, the community, etc... everyones gonna walk away with the same view from now till then.. But all that's left now is for PGI and IGP to string this along as long as they can and get as much $$$ as they can before announcing bust.
They had a great vision, just like all of us, we can have the wildest imaginations.. But when it came to delivering, the reality is they don't have what it takes.. Bass fishing was probably their peak as game makers.
People off to play Hawken, PS2, Far Cry, all the real games.. the final death rattle of MWO is at hand.
Remember the mantra.
"PGI lied MWO died."

Uhm, people will flock to this game when it's in Final Release. We're funding PGI everyday.
The game has already reached the public. The people who wanted to try MWO, have already done so and ran away like frightened schoolgirls...

This would depend on your defintion of dead.
I fully think the BT fanbase is insane and hardcore enough to keep MWO limping on for many, many years to come.

So I gave a fair shot at both, Hawken and MWO without any bias.
MWO came on top. Hawken was boring as hell after ~ 10 games. nothing new, same weapons, little choice, and pure fps feeling made it quite meh rly fast.
If i had to choose my fps game Black Ops 2 would win with hawken without second thought. Good thing MWO is totally different kind of game than BO2.
And thats a big advantege ( market wise) atm.
Also, small but dedicated player base (which mwo got already just becouse of setting) is ALWAYS a good thing. (Eve online anyone ?)

It's on!
Mechgames are useless if mechs dont feel like .. well mechs.. the only game giving me the feeling to pilot a giant robot thingy is MWO. Hawken is just another FPS. They'll go down first!

Hawken starts you out in something almost as ****** as a trial mech, but at least it's yours and you have some input after a few fights. It also has, you know, a tutorial that explains things to you. Those things don't provide depth but they do retain customers. Customers pay the bills. Paid bills mean companies continue to function.
To everyone hoping that Hawken drives away player types they hate, remember.. those people were just as likely to shill money for a product, and every one that leaves is a potential loss of income. Income that could make the game you do like shine a bit brighter. Think it through.

We already have problems finding 8 man pre-made games, how much worse could it get?

i really like Hawken and I really like MWO
Hawken is fast paced and has its own talented features as does MWO
but if you guys are gonna throw out some FPS nonsense the best way i can put it is:
MWO is To Hawken what Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is to Modern Warfare.
Really give them both a shot they both have very solid game-play regardless what you think SPECIALLY if you haven't even played the game.
Be a true gamer and give both games a shot, Don't be a Dbag and criticise on things you have no clue upon just by looks alone.

So I hope they enjoy the splurging of the rare few rich old MW fans because the majority aren't going to drop a buck on it, meaning they'll get far less than they could have.
