It gets you most things in a pay to win game.
League of Legends? They gouge like crazy for "skins".
You wanted to take back your Founders investment to help them along? I question your mentality and ability to make investment/risk and later retract when you think it's about to go "sour" for you.
The founder pack was not an investment!
PGI made all sweet promises and offered basically a discount on MC. Hero mechs get better return than a founder mechs, so where short changed there.
i was a great fan of all the previous mechwarriors and bought every one of them and was happy with each title.
this i can see as just a way to get a constant stream of micro transactions going to make more money.
The old Mechwarriors they made, developed and had a great game for there time and they promoted it all without needing an influx of cash.
PGI makes all these promises and hasn't delivered. and there accepting cash from people and trying to get people to spend money on a game that not even half complete. barely half the mechs they announced are even in game.
Free to play is just a scam to get people to pay for an incomplete game when there starting up.
When an existing game goes FTP as least the content is already established and you KNOW the company is trying to increase the player base with a free intro offer, rather than just empty promises.
If i'd seen how this game was before i'd paid for my founder pack, i doubt i'd have bought it, PGI played us for suckers off the previous titles names and this is even worse than do i dare say it. Mech Assault on the X-box!
