Also needs the joint between torso and legs looking at - the connector means the torso (as a whole) is sitting too high:

I agree with the majority of players here. The Stalker's concept art looked WAY better and holds true to the original Stalker design. The devs should respect Alex's artwork and style and hard-work by keeping it the way Stalker is supposed to look. I know the 3D model designers of MWO worked hard on making this Stalker, but they need to do a quick fix and repose this model. Come on guys!

Yea the overall model is well made, but the position of the parts (torso and arms) really throw off the look. Devs please change this if possible!

For those of you complaining, you guys do know that concept art is not final design right? After concept art, they go to the 3D modeling phase. Of course, not everything on paper will actually work once you put it in 3D. I can already tell by looking at the concept art that it would suffer from massive clipping issues. The "ears" are too low and would clip with the legs, and the connector was too low as well. The fact this game uses multiple hitboxes for each mech just makes it worst.

Totally agree, MrPenguin. Concept artists make great art, but it falls on the 3d artist to make it function in 3D Space. Sometimes that means altering what the concept artist had in mind.

Never seen a production model car look much like the concept car; call your dealer and complain.

I think it looks better. They could maybe lengthen the upper torso more, but at least it doesn't look like a headless mech trying to take a dump.

Here's a very informative look at how 'mechs in MWO gets made:
The incredibly detailed, beautifully illustrated, insanely intricate birth of a video game Mech

Go read it, and then you'll know why in-game models differ from concept art.

I've read the article. Several times. What part of my statement of agreement indicated I didn't grasp the concept? I'm le confused.

Just pick whichever one then lol. really a preference thing.

Theres really nothing we can do about it now. I just would appreciate it if any changes are made they would at least let us know. Since its a deviation from concept art and we were not allowed a chance for input before changes were made.

I looked forward to the Stalker and the Raven. But they changed both from concept and i really hate looking forward to a mech for weeks and being dissapointed

I dont think the current model looks bad, it just doesnt look like a stalker completely. It is too easy to mistake as a catapault at a glance, so I voted the concept looks better

Because the post was emotionally charged. Despite how the forum goers seem, most people would rather say something is okay, than paint it as negative.

It said the stalker was ugly and many people said the stalker is supposed to be ugly.

This is poll completely neutral and preference based, "do you like it to look this way? or another way?"
