Now I'm veteran of the table top game. Love it still today. Now I am a mechwarrior veteran going all the way back to the first game as well. Now I've looked at a few things and am sorely disappointed.
1. NO AC20 variant of the Hunchy...why? It is a limiting factor as it is that it only has 8 rounds of ammo and being a very short range weapon should have balanced that fact very well.
2. this is the most annoying to me that when I see and ultra/5 AC it shows a rotary AC in the image. anybody who picks up a core rules book can read the description on the weapons. An Ultra and a rotary are 2 totally different weapons. An auto fires 2 rounds consecutively where as a rotary can fire up to 6. The difference being that the rotary can only exist from AC2 to AC5 level. where as the ultra can exist up to 20. However the ultras have a jam factor that cannot clear in combat where as the rotarys can because the rotarys have multiple barrels unlike the ultras.
I know this sounds silly to some but it mis represents the weaponry on your mech designs. Also has an effect on how quickly you chew through ammo.
This game has a long way to go before it goes live and I'd like to see more functionality with it other than a "World of Tanks" with Battlemechs.

You can just put an Ac/20 on a hunchback. I'm pretty sure you can make it fit.
Wait... I thought one of the hunchies DID come with a Ac/20?

False, one variant of the hunchy actually does come with an AC20 by default. You probably picked the wrong variant (actually 2 can mount an AC20) Note that you cannot mount an AC20 with an XL engine due to lack critical spaces.

Actually, if you were as BT savvy as you thought you were, you'd know that an UAC5 is described as having the loose definition of having twice the fire rate as a standard AC5, and a RAC has six times the firing rate. Also, that RACs are not available in the time line at all. The triple barrel you see is just an artists rendition to show that there is some type of rapid fire auto cannon default on that variant.
Also, this "double tap" thing was originated in MW4, as the easiest solution to solve the "shoots twice as fast".
This game is Live, but it is also still in Beta, which for some is an impossibly difficult concept to grasp.
In conclusion

Go do some research. And I don't want to hear "where is my Mad Cat" threads!

Also, the Atlas II's LBX AC are shown as gatling-style, so there is some precedent for non-rotary ACs to look like RACs.

Bro, do you even lore?
No, seriously, you're claiming to know these levels of TT information, but you're unaware that there is no such thing as a common system between autocannons? For example, the Victor is described during the books as using a Pontiac 100. While it's an AC20, it doesn't fire a single large-bore shell, but fires in rapid bursts of 5 shells casetted.
On the other hand, the YLW being a Centurion AH is noted for originally having a Luxor AC-20 that is prone to jamming with its one-large-shell shot. It's a fairly central point as to why people time and time again underestimate its power since they're used to seeing that Jam-happy Luxor instead of the Pontiac 100.

RACS aren't available in the timeline yet, that's 3058 tech? UACs sometimes have a rotary barrel in MWO. Once you are buying a chassis the Hunchback has 4 or 5 variants including the Swayback all laser Hunchback.

Isn't there also some TT rule where, in order to unjam an autocannon, a mech would have to have a free hand actuator? And if the AC was in an arm, then the hand actuator would have to be in the other arm. Basically, a Jagermech with UAC/5s would be screwed.

I would really love for stuff like that to be in the game, actually.

Ultra Autocannon = Gatling Gun
Rotary Autocannon = 3 Gatling Guns that fire simultaneously while spinning around eachother
ahaha
