Will all repairs, resupply and upgrades be strait C-bils? Or will the Players in the House Units have a bit more C-bills(or lower costs) While Mercs get Salvage ammo, weapons Heat sinks ect.. then must by the rest? Just wondering or is it all X cost no matter.. what...

It is unknown to us mere mortals at this time. I do not recall any official developer statements regarding pricing on repair costs, or any video.

I know that it was said that some 'mechs might cost more depending on what faction you are aligned with, but other than that they have shied away from talking about in game costs or even their store. I am assuming (and all that goes with it) that it is something they are going to be balancing during their beta period based off of tester performance.

Cheers

Didn't the MechLab video show two currencies? C-Bills and MC, or MechWarrior currency? Seems we will pay one way or the other...

P.S. Yup MC's. Use em and abuse em... LOL

What is the exchange rate for dollars to c-bills/M_C?

How much do I get for my 60 Bucks?

and how long Hypathetically will it last?

Ultimately it's a money and/or time sink. Either money (as in $) to keep up or time (earning c-bills in matches). The question I'm wondering about is if the bias is towards 'pay more to play more' or more of a 'play more? earn more!' sensibility.

What happens if your mech is entirely ammo dependent, and you dont have enough c-bills to replenish ammo reserves between rounds?

Or if your mech needs repairs and you dont have the funds?

I think 'meat shield' just about covers it.

No details on this. Add a medium laser. You might need it :-)

I see this is an old thread, but whatever the answer ends up being will influence how I approach the game. If there cost/benefit is too great for ammo units, users will quickly shift to energy-based customizations/variants, just like the cost/benefit for legging influenced tactics in prior iterations. I'm looking for whatever information is out there on this...

I'm hoping it's not going to be like EVE where you had to keep buying the same equipment over and over or go out with another ship and see if you could find what was left in the wreckage and salvage what was left. I hated that about EVE and is one reason I quit playing it.

I will say one particular thing, not sure if it would really help, but I do know that for a fact all parts and pieces are going to be set at 25% as free repair, strait from Pauls mouth, so at least there is that.

Are you saying the first 25% of total unit C-bill value in damage & ammo cost is not borne by the Mechwarrior?

no he is saying you mech will be repaired to min level to use again (most likely 25%) with out the need to spend c-bills

nothing was said about ammo.
