I am looking forward to this. Highly. AB was always my favorite PVP in WoW, and I always wanted to play a version that was no respawn.

ECM Lights w/ streaks & Cicada will probably dominate for a while until netcode fixes catch up. Dont be surprised by this.

Cant wait until people start complaining about capping instead of fighting for this mode. I shall laugh heartily.

The thing about AB is that it's the BG you're most likely to lose thanks to the incompetence of your team-mates.

I predict much raging.

750 points sounds like a lot, I imagine most games will end by kills.
Shall we chase round all these capture points? Nah lets just go hunt their mechs down

Who wants to perform the mission as assigned when All you need to do is kill the enemy? :)

From what I can tell it takes 2 seconds of hold time to earn one point. 750 points to win. Thats 5 minutes from the start of the game if you hold ALL 5 points at drop. Which your not going to do. If you can grab 3 very close to game on it will take you over 8 minutes to win by holding 3 points....

Numbers taken from the screen shot of a match in progress at 14:30 on the clock. Each side has one point captured and the points are 14 each. So slightly less than 1 point earned per 2 seconds.

I imagine most games will be won by kills as well.

If people ignore the cap points to kill each other, it's still better than Assault mode now where half my games on Caustic and Frozen City end in base cap with zero shots fired.

Also a team that stays in one group to hunt people down will probably lose to a faster team that splits up, communicates and just avoids the clump to focus of capping where ever the enemy is not.

C-bills my friend. Glorious C-Bills. People have been complaining about the low profit after RR costs. This is specifically designed to help with that. In addition to a new mode to introduce new tactics, you can make more money.

Yes, you can still just will by killing but capturing mining nodes EVEN IF YOU LOSE will pad your bank account. Where is the downside?

There isn't one. Except maybe if you spend more time mining than killing your salvage will be a bit smaller. But, when 12v12 gets introduced, you will have enough lancemates to do both.

so on top of win plus damage plus salvage bonus, we now also get 18k farm the geranium bonus... sounds crap... except when you add premium and/or founders / hero mech bonus you are looking at 30k plus bonus

so it's up to around 20% bonus to net earnings for every round you play... I'll take that thanks

Sounds like some monetary bonuses are changing as well according to the PC Gamers article.

They should havge just came out with Team Death Match.
Or Mission Play or something. This conquest mode is going to be heaven for light mechs.
