Offer a guided mandatory tutorial for game play about 5 min in total for the first time logging in. No cheesy and cheap videos, but an actual guided area. At the end, allow the player to come back and go through the tutorials OR to come back and use the area to test out weapon groupings and firing heat.

Put up some training dummies and train people on how to:
-create weapon groups
-how to zoom
-recognize heat
-how to chain fire
-how to alpha
-difference between Trial Mechs and Real Mechs, and how long it will take to get a real mech

Offer a guided tutorial on mech purchasing/building about 5 min in total. Training on:
-How to purchase a mech
-Diff between MC Cbill for purchasing
-How to judge heat of weapons (Oh wait you'd have to LIST THE HEAT first on the weapon which you should)
-How to judge damage of weapons (Oh wait you'd have to LIST THE DAMAGE first on the weapon which you should)
-Benefits and drawbacks of electronic wareare BAP, TAG, ECM, Artemis
-Benefits and drawbacks of XL engines to Standard Engines
