Good quality and I like the voice over. Nice clean audio. Could use a little background music - something to get the blood pumping without getting in the way.

Thumbs up and subscribed.

Thanks! I've watched SideStrafe for a bit when he was just starting to do DayZ videos, and I experimented with that (never published them because they were awful) so I could listen to myself and learn a little.

Doing voiceover isn't too hard, doing it WHILE playing is a bit more difficult, but doing it while playing well is pretty tough.

Nice video. The commentary about what you were thinking as the match progressed was also very informative. I have to say though that I partially disagree with your thinking on the purpose of medium mechs. I submit that the heavier mediums and the heavy mechs themselves should absolutely be the first in to the fray. The job of light mechs is reconnaissance, not sustained engagement.

Assault mechs can absolutely change the tide of a battle, but their one big disadvantage is that they tend to be so slow that once engaged, disengagement is usually impossible. The competent assault pilot should therefore carefully judge when and where to add his or her considerable firepower to the engagement. In other words, the assault pilot should wait until the battle is in progress before engaging and making a decisive difference. There are times when assault mechs should charge in but they not only are very few and far between but also rely on the assault mechs having very close support.

I bet you're an excellent Atlas pilot (takes one to know one ;) ) and I'd love to see your Atlas videos, but I disagree with you on how mediums should be used. Otherwise, very informative.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah after some thought, I guess I was probably commenting more on my specific playstyle than maybe what the role should probably involve. I typically let others march first while I flank and land shots. I also lend myself to "shoot and scoot" a lot, using cover as best I can.

I'll try and get a video together with me in an Atlas. I'd probably use my DDC build with 3 SRM 6's, two LL's, and a gauss, lends itself to the most damage and success I've had with it.

Cool vid, big fan of the 4G chassis.

Might be worth mentioning why and what custom build you've done to it. I assume endo steel and double heat sinks with the med laser and extra two tons of AC/20 ammo, for those who are interested in copying this build.

I'll list mine
AC/20 3 tons of ammo
2 med pulse in arms
1 med laser in head
Case
Double heatsinks
Standard 200
And about 0.5 tons shaved off the legs.

Hopefully with the machine gun buff.
AC/20 3 tons of ammo
3 Med lasers
2 machine guns 1 ton of ammo
double heat sinks
standard 200 engine
Same armour.

But yeah cool vid, keep up the good work!

I love my 4G, can't wait to saddle back up in her (currently working on Master for the 4J).

BUT DAMMIT!! At the end of the video, I clicked the "Exit Match" button....... Duh....

you got it spot on.

Standard 200 engine, 4 tons of AC/20 ammo, endo steel, DHS, 3 ML's.

My only gripe is to turn down the in-game sound just a touch. It was hard to hear you at times and i wanna hear what you have to say ;)

Otherwise, great vid!

Good Job, I liked how you talked about why you moved where, what you did, using thermal vision, etc, -- helpful tips.

Good video. I'm a little jealous of how you played. As a Cicada runner, all I get to do is chip paint with a few medium lasers. Gets kind of boring. But man, when you bomb with that a/c20, it just feels really nice ;)

Nice video, very helpful for a newbie like me who's trying to figure out what mechs to unlock first. Thanks for this. ;)

Nice vid,

just wanted to add that I think the best light hunters are not necessarily light mechs.
Although I agree that it is definitely not the role of the Hunckback.
I love to hunt lights with Cicadas, the CN9D or even a Dragon.
(basically everything that goes >100KPH and equips missles and lasers)

Keep up the good work! I ended up watching the whole thing, which I rarely do for MWO videos.

wish they'd get round to fixing the weapon ranges though ac20 270m hitting target at 430m at 3:26

no wonder everyone's using them they're kinda OP like that.

Generally good stuff. Remember to lightly touch on what you're talking about. Might be a viewers first time listening to your stuff and/or seeing MW:O or even BT in general.

You can shoot a target at triple a ballistic weapon's range and do damage, it just lessens damage linearly with triple range being 0 damage. If you look in the bottom right where weapon groups are when a target is at farther than optimal range, the weapon name turns yellow. At a range that it does 0 damage, it turns black.

Edit: Had double instead of triple written. Double is for lasers.

Actually it's: missiles are 1x range, energy are 2x range, ballistics are 3x range. They just are less effective past their listed ranges.
