If you think I'm wrong or Sifright is wrong, challenge me to a scrim. Let's put game balance to a test when it isn't you lot stomping noobs in sync'd 8s or noob stomping 4s. I don't believe you've ever played 8s or else you either played one, won, and decided to rest of laurels or you just don't play them.

I will stomp you 8-0 in a scrim and you can tell me allllllllllll about game balance.

@Drax: I have a high W/L and also I don't think a single other player has played more games than I have, or is better than I am; furthermore my team is the best team in the world.

That's like saying "I haven't run a control group, you're move" on a scientific study. You clearly don't know anything, you're basing your opinions on the end of your nose viewpoint, and you don't even care how wrong you are. You are scum and you are dangerous to the balance of this game if a developer were even foolish or unlucky enough to read your posts.

You just blatantly flew in the face of your only supporter and those you claim to be championing. I guess all pugs are scum. I'll let the mob decide your fate on that one.

But you pretty much just lost all credibility in the game for those comments. I congratulate you on that. :P

PS - I won't mention that I also run 4 man since November...

Oops... Control group!

Yeah, I don't care what the pugs think. I want the game to be good for them too but balance is not decided at the low end, it's decided at the high end. A perfectly balanced weapon for 99% of the awful playerbase might ruin the game for the 1% who actually know how the play, and many games have nerfed many weapons for this reason.

Long story short, I could care less what people like you think. You are cattle, and I want the cattle to be well fed but I am not upset if the cattle would prefer greener grass as they happily munch on brown grass.

Like the A1... OP game is OP :P

The thing is... SSRM boat takes waaaaaaay too long to destroy things while SRM CAT can core pretty much any mech in 2 loads.

Yes, any mech, well... lights are 1 hit actually.

Hmm, by cattle, you mean the only players that create momentum for the game and help spread it beyond the forums and facebook? Sorry, but from where I'm standing, you're sheep and I'm the shepherd. There are a lot of us that have put in more work outside the game than you have into the game, so be careful who you wave off as uninitiated :P.

Well, it's good to know I haven't undermined your confidence!

I sincerely hope that the matchmaking system is implemented in such a way that you have the opportunity to prove your prowess and that of your team. But until that happens, your current results, and how good you think they prove you are is meaningless in terms of proving that your opinions are correct or that you understand the game any better than anyone else.

I can sync drop against you and get you to shut up on the forums if you're man enough. I will NEVER back down from a challenge and unless you play against me with your 8 man I don't care what you have to say. If you think my number of games, my stats, if you think that doesn't matter then prove it, otherwise get out of the way because I am better than you are and what I say matters as opposed to what you say when it comes to game balance.

*facepalm*

You know that can get you banned, right? So if you drop 1 v 8 against me, you feel you have proven yourself right? Despite the fact that people who actually... you know... code and design games for a living... know better than you? Sorry, at this point the argument simply isn't worth my time. This is why I try to avoid the forums. Trolls. And you know what Mark Twain said about Trolls...

The point is you can be killed by AC20 Gauss etc but only IF player actually aims not by pushing the button after quick lock. Right now team with most ssrm2 on lights decimate enemy light mechs and after this its usually quick cap. Also i think ssrm2 bots is not far behind as you dont need to program bot to aim.

Not 100% true. I snap shot(not aimed by common definition) a Jenner into the grave with my Atlas. I also used to kill them at range with LRMs 3 outs 5 times. They are still a bear to kill in close but I have old reflexes. :P

I leg lights with large lasers as well. You dont necessarily need SSRM2s to kill lights if you have a low ping.

nope, wait a lil bit for the right moment while using a SRM cat, you will 1 hit them.
2 shoots with a dual gauss, sometimes 1.
TAG + LRM's.
Chase + aiming skills.
Theres a lot of things that you can do in order to kill lights indeed :P

SRM cats are overrated. My AWS-8R popped enemies in situations my A1 couldn't even dream of. :)

I run both. I think I can decide for myself?

Also noticed that I said 1st wave OPEN beta when it should have been 1st wave of CLOSED beta. But, yeah, skill matters more than you let on :P

Have you played a competitive 8? Ever? No one who has ever played a competitive 8 would say an awesome is "better" than anything, except maybe a hunchback? Even people who wish 8s were different will say "Awesomes ought to be viable, it's stupid that 8 mans are just raven 3Ls and atlas DDCs that's boring". They won't actually say an awesome IS viable, because it isn't.

I think the current meta is boring too, and I'm actually railing against it currently, but it is what it is and you reveal your ignorance by claiming it is not what it is.

SSRM2 are the best weapon in the game, if you have a missile slot on a mech, put either NOTHING AT ALL or SSRM2. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying or stupid.

Or maybe he has only one or maybe two missile slots so that one or two streaks just don't do it. Remember, one single SRM6 launcher does as many damage as three SSRM2-Launchers. If you hit.

I usually combine SRM4 or SRM6 with artemis to reduce their spread and then I do something miraculous: I aim. :) And usually I do hit. :P

Uh what? Awesome 8R with x4 SRM6s, x2 Large Lasers, and x1 Medium Laser = 83 damage. Its only 7 less damage than an SRM cat. But the lasers can pinpoint specific locations so its actually better. Granted the Awesome is not a very competitive mech, but neither is an SRM6 cat. All you have to do is range it which is extremely easy to do because their effective range is like 200m tops. Most of the time I murder them from 400m-600m away before they even get a shot off.

Everything you say is completely wrong. You're not even a good troll. A good troll at least gets some people to agree with him. But everyone just thinks you're wrong about everything...
