The problem with lights mechs is the **** poor netcode laced with a broken ECM system.

The ECM we have now is actually Guardian Angel ECM, which is rare, expensive and is only available for Comstar and House Kurita at the end of 3052.

So, fix ECM to actually follow cannon (i.e. DOES NOT stop SSRMs, and just makes missile lock on more difficult) and fix the netcode so when my entire team is shooting you, you actually die -- problem solved.

As a light Pilot... I hope they add knockdown again soon(and fix netcode).

It's really taken a lot of skill out of being a light pilot.

Rarity of an item hasn't really fitted with this game. Look at the availability of Lostech such as Gauss rifles, XL engines, and the like.. all supposedly rare and extremely expensive items that have no cap, outside of cash, to obtain for everyone.

This is a 1 in a thousand event right now. When it becomes possible even 1 in 50, the game play will change for the better.

What I see with collision being in and out of the game is the transfer of non skill as an advantage. The light mechs now run twice as fast as other mechs and don't worry about falling down. They have an advantage with no skill in that area. But when collision was in the game, alot of pilots decided to just ram the crap out of light mechs. That gave the non light mech pilots advantage with no skill.

Yeah, but the light pilot was in a much better position to deal with that lack of skill.

Where as now, there is no counter to light pilots just zipping through someone.
