[Long Draw]

I would like to welcome you all to the game and inform you of a fantastic information resource for old and new pilots alike.

There is a player-run MechWarrior Online specific community on Google+ where we discuss topics of interest, post stories in the fan fiction section, post updates from the development team regarding patches and the Ask The Devs threads and much more! Plus, if you ever want to post a screen image of something MWO related there, all you do is just upload it in the new post/reply picture tool. No more uploading to a seperate service that removes your picture if there is too much traffic or removes it because it was posted a long time ago.

In addition to those benefits, there is another because you can also get the Google+ app for your smart phone as well. It lets you easily check in, mobile upload to your profile picture albums, check your different communities that you follow, state your mood (like if you love or hate ECM for instance lol!) and of course post a new thread or reply to an existing one.

There are discussions on Google+ about Battletech and MWO that could benefit from the knowledge and experience of the players of this community. Additionally, there are communities for Mechwarrior Tactics, Older Mechwarrior Games, Mechwarrior Tactical Command, Fiction, Tabletop and Events. I am also going to start a community called MWO Updates where the patches will be able to be discussed.

The community has now hit 31 members, but I haven't seen anyone from House Kurita yet.

Or you guys could come here. The game forums used to be closed during closed beta, but now everyone can access them. Ill check em out some time though.

Yeah, problem with the game forum is you can't enter text into the post response text area on a lot of mobile devices. But with Google+, you can get on via a mobile app that streamlines the whole experience. Plus, you don't have to store pictures on a seperate hosting service. Just select upload picture and it is stored via Google's servers.

I've connected here using iphone, ipad, and ipod touch. Can't vouch for other devices though. I'll check your link. Hopefully the Google community isn't as venomous as some of those on the infamous and ironically titled "General Discussion" forums.

*Edit - Just applied for Google and went in for the first time. Haven't posted yet, but looks pretty cool.

Venomous as in personal attacks on other forum users? If I see it on the community, the attack will be replaced with a warning. If it happens again, the moderating team (includes myself) will decide the appropriate course of action. I don't believe that discussions need to be shut down as often as they are here.

I've seen some pretty crazy things said on the general "discussion" forums the past few months. It would blow your mind. People have no idea what the definition of constructive criticism really is.

Well, I won't tolerate bashing of others on the community. If you have a disagreement, okay, keep it civil and work it out privately. If you make comments with the primary intent of causing hurt feelings with no attempt at resolution, then you know what to expect.
