I'm sure some of you have Blackberries and that some of you had to unlock them. I'll get my dad's 9800 Torch when he gets a new phone (I literally never bought a phone, I always use his old ones), and it's coded for one network (is that a word for it in English? Like at&t or Vodafone?), I use a different network(?), and I can't find a manual for unlocking it at home, apart for some websites that offer you to buy a code. So what I want to know is if there's a way to unlock the phone without a code, and where can I find it?
Also, since I never used a Blackberry (only smartphone I used was an old iPhone 2g, which I unlocked and sold after a month or so), can you guys recommend some good websites containing Blackberry apps and general content, and also recommend some of the more useful apps to use, some for entertainment, and some of the cool stuff you can have on it.
