Tips, Ideas, Tactics For Dealing With Ecm Lights?

What seems to be kinda working for me is LB10X and lasers to the legs, but it's been with mixed results. Aiming accurately with a steady stream of ssrms hitting you is difficult.

Lights are difficult to hit yes but I also find a lot of people panic and fire as much and as fast as they can when engaged with one. (I am guilty of this too at times)
A good tactic for me atleast when piloting slower mechs and facing a fast light is walking backwards. Yes you are easier for them to hit but you deny them your back and the ability to circle you at will. It generally forces them to face the full brunt of your weapons because you can keep them in your sights much easier which more often than not makes them think twice and pick another target. A bloody good Light pilot will be braver and still more than capable of taking you out but one good hit on that sucker and you can almost hear them say "oh sh*t"

i beg to differ hitting a light with an ac20, 2ml, and 3x srm6 will resolve the ECM issue in an immediate and permanent fashion.

Hi, could you please direct me to the bubble you live in, because I'd sure love to live there too.

Don't bother, he's just big fat obvious troll...
I never understood this uncontrollable urge some people have that when they see a thread like this, totally universally accepted facts that Light Mechs with ECM are incredibly hard to kill, they come in and start spouting things like "Oh well I don't have any problems whatsoever killing these guys all day every day with my AC/20 4xML 3xSRM6 Atlas" (it's important they describe exactly their loadout too for some reason)
I think it must be some sort of psychosis. Like they just can't help themselves. They see someone saying something is too powerful or hard to counter and they just can't help but come in and claim they have no problems with it whatsoever.

Keep in mind, I'm pugging here, lol.
Do you guys aim for legs, or concentrate on the torso?
What weapons do you prefer to use?
if you're pugging, and you can't run your own raven, your best bet is lasers, and yeah, for ravens, legs. for commandos you can often get away with aiming for the torso since they're less armored and they don't have the arms/side torsos/ct's jammed quite as compactly as ravens. cicadas are also big enough that you can often aim for torso.
and remember, don't aim at the enemy. aim at thin air in front of the enemy, and rake until you see your crosshair turn red. it'll screw up your convergence, sure, but broken netcode is broken.

they aren't the easiest thing to hit but they are not "incredibly hard to hit" I kill lights way more often than they kill me.
Streaks on an atlas are bad.

If you have to shoot a fast target moving transversally you should sweep the way it goes with lasers. I hope this helps.

But leading them with lasers/fast firing ballistics is what you do if you can't do the above.
