I was wondering if putting in a toggle for the Ultra AC/5 would be appropriate to stop it from jamming. Seems like it would be do able in the future....
Basically:
Mode A: Fires like normal today. Chance for double shot to cause weapon to jam.
Mode B: Fires at maximum reload rate (1.1 I think). This would prevent jamming.
Before people say: OMG this is just the AC/5.....
The AC/5 has a reload of 1.7 vs a reload of 1.1 for an Ultra.
Ultra AC/5 has a longer range (600 vs 540).
You still get benieits from the Ultra AC/5.
I bring this up because of all the funky things that happen with an Ultra AC/5 like:
It will jam when you fire 1 shot. (Fun right?)
It can sometimes jam a lot..... like every double shot. Other times not jam at all.
Benefit to this:
Allows a reduction in damage trade off for continuous firing mode.
So people can hold down the fire key and fire the Ultra AC/5 like any other weapon (AC2 for instance).
And for the people who say: It's a piloting/ firing skill you should meter your shots
I tried that, since it will jam after 1 shot anticipating your next double shot, then they should most likely FIX this if that is the intent.
Thoughts?

it's not that hard to not double tap and watch your cooldowns, but I agree it wold be a nice convenience for some.
I can't vote for or against it as it's a part of the whole argument of; "how far will we take conveniences before it becomes holding peoples' hands?" or "skill vs accessibility."

Yeah, currently, the uac jams on single fire, and the uac has always been a select fire device.
