That loadout reminds me of my custom Kodiak build... Quad SRM6 with a pair of SRM4, Jets, Guardian ECM, and 65kph over land...

I call it the Honey Badger...

Just checked it, and that Catapult variant works under the tabletop game construction rules (with the sole exception of altering armor, unless you're just rearranging it as opposed to adding more). Witness:

This Catapult-C1 "Holepunch is very similar to the Butterbee. "Catapult CPLT-C1 Jenny "Butterbee" - The personal ride of MechWarrior Jenny Templeton, this variant of the Catapult replaces the standard arm-mounted LRM-15s with a quartet of SRM-6 missile launchers, two in each arm.[11] BV (2.0) = 1,242[12]" (Sarna).

Not sure 'moving' heat being running hot, also not sure I'd want to wait to get into point blank in your face range either for those small lasers.

4 SRM-6's is good though. Think I'd rather use 2 medium lasers and add more heat sinks over 4 small lasers.

Still a much more viable build than the last ones.

Which would explain why the designers at PGI had to give the Catapult-C1 two missile hardpoints in each arm. You couldn't build the Butterbee in the mech-lab otherwise & we'd kick up such a ruckus.

They could sell a Butterbee Hero Mech with the needed hardpoints...

That's what selling "Hero Mechs" means: Selling a new variant of a Mech that has different hardpoints than the other variants. Some of the Hero Mechs are cool, some of them I would never touch, but, in the end, they're just an other variant that's any good as any other variant for whatever. I am looking forward to seeing some Hero Mechs on the battlefield just because you wouldn't expect to see X weapon mounted in SomeMech's whatever bodypart because none of the normal variants had a weapon-specific hardpoint there...

Hero Mechs are just examples of Lore-Specific builds that should be rare. Rare, because they are custom-made Mechs, one-off builds produced in for a specific story character. You can re-create most of the storyline's "Hero Mechs" with just the Mechlab, but some of the "Hero Mechs" have vastly different hardpoint configurations that make them unMechLabable. That's why they can be sold for cash - they should be rare, but they'll fail to bring you any super-omnitactical advantages to the battlefield. You'll get no tonnage bonuses, no special "Titanium-Armor" buffs, no XP/C-Bill multipliers, no uberHeatsinks... all you get are some shuffled hardpoints and a coat of paint.

Edit: Oh, and all UrbanMech variants are "Hero Mechs," de facto.

I'll be that guy and point out that the region selection wasn't clarified for everyone - the info and implementation was unclear - nor was what we heard "very positive".

I have to agree. As it stands, it sounds like once you choose a region for an account, its locked into the region permanently. I hope this is not the case, and that you are able to switch regions much like you can in GA and the new Tribes.

This sounds a lot like the Mad Dog variant I like. Slightly different with a lack of jump jets, but still centered around six (Streak) SRM-6 racks, and with your choice of support weapons.

Not me. I am much more a sniper or rain fire and death from a distance. I enjoy supporting the brawlers and picking off the most dangerous opponents.
