Hey founders,

Remember all those times people told you the new player experience was terrible and that they weren't enjoying it and you guys told them to shut up and take it or to stop playing and leave?

Well guess what you are bitching and moaning about the changes and how you will never spend another dollar because new players aren't getting a crap experience I have one thing to say to you.

Don't like it...

LEAVE

the game will be better off with out your self entitled ridiculousness.

edit: Obviously this is not directed at all the founders, just the vocal minority that seem to actively want the game to fail due to their unenlightened self interest.

I don't think most Founders are complaining, just an annoying minority. I believe in this game, and actually like the new economic rules. They are more helpful for combating AFKers/DCers, and are definitely more helpful for new players. And for those that don't have Premium, they are very helpful- allows them to gain more rewards for playing and playing well.

Good point I shall edit my post to reflect that it is a vocal minority of founders that wish for the game to be actively hostile towards new players.

I just can't wrap my head around their view point. They seem to think boring and agravating game play is some how character and skill building its just like

what?

Usually I agree with you on things but please don't group all the founders into the Kool-Aid chugging stereotype. I for one never said anything like what you describe and I never will.

Edit: Saw that you were gonna edit it. So disregard.

I never once made those silly claims. :( Not unless the player in question made it obvious they wanted to leave anyway :)

I love the new ecenomic rules, new players are brought into the customizing system much more quickly, the game rewards properly running around, defense and destruction. Not simply abandoning base and cap rushing.

It also doesn't punish those which customize their mech and limit their options to maximise another function.
Endo steel: takes up 14 slots, gives you 5% of your chassis weight to use up.
Ferro: gives you 10% of your armor weight back to use at the cost of double armor repair costs, and 14 slots used up.
Dhs, you trade slots for more heat efficiency for the weight.
Artemis, you trade 1 ton of ammo per launcher to get accuracy boosts.
Xl engine: side torso, nuff said. The 5X repair just adds insult to injury.
ER weapons? Higher heat generation for the same damage(ignoring clan)

Hey Non-Founder,

Don't group up all us founders as if we ALL gave negative feedback to new players. This whole " you're a founder so of course you're biased against new people " is wearing thin. Yes, there are some bad apples.

Here's the actual interesting part.

You know you've got a ****** up community when a split like this occurs, and it takes this long to properly address real issues.

No problem, I realised I was making a rather broad swipe when I meant to be a little more precise.

Just frustrated by how many founders are claiming that they will never spend any more money on the game because the new user experience isn't going to be actively hostile any more. I mean really?

They can put up with the way ecm was dumped in.

The Artemis mistake that happened.

The host of bugs in the game.

but if the new players DARE to get a better starting experience WELL THEN SCREW PGI.

I mean seriously? what the heck.

Mm. I'm going to agree with the other people speaking up here saying that Founders aren't all bad. The Legendary Founders just think they're the universe's gift to us. :)

Also, I'll have to agree that this will make the new user experience MUCH better. Hope to see an influx of new players very soon.

i have to say I've always been on the side of new players and such, i felt for new player their grind was.
well Bad.
i think its just a small amount of founders that rage at newbies.
it's just unfortunate that the ones that rage are the one's people tend to remember

Can't we all just get along..........

At some point we are all gonna have to learn to fight hand in hand when the clans turn up.

Way I see it, the founders program is what helped financially to get MW:O to where it is today. But it will be the non-founders that will ensure it's future.
