I think I spelled that wrong. Anyway, if hasnt been mentioned before, I'd suggest duelling. It's great that we can group with a few of our personal friends and go into battle together but my friends and I would like to duel one on one or two on two against each other to test who's the better mech warrior.

I'd play that.
It would be nice if we could challenge a player through the social tab.
While we're at it a global chat channel and an ignore function that doesn't require you to be friends with someone would be nice too.
Maybe I could finally fight our resident community troll ( you know the one ) without him disconnecting on me.
It would also allow me to settle some debts related to teamkilling.

I would imagine that such dueling modes might be implemented along with Solaris VII? :D

From the MWO issue of PC Gamer (Issue #233, pg. 39):

Quote

Incredibly, Piranha is also exploring integrating melee combat into MWO. It may, however, appear in an isolated context: a standalone planet called Solaris, famous in BattleTech canon as a venue for gladiatorial 'Mech combat.

"We're super keen on Solaris as a future expansion to the game, where we introduce a whole set of new maps, new content, and different styles of BattleMechs, but also new control features and ways the player interacts with the enemy. That's where we would look to introduce advanced melee, beyond just running into each other and maybe the occasional swat," Ekman says.
Evidently, the inclusion/implementation of Solaris VII is planned as an eventual expansion to include/introduce advanced melee combat, gladiatorial combat (One-on-One Duels and/or Free-for-All Deathmatch and/or Team Deathmatch game modes?), and other features...

Would that satisfy your Luxan lust for honorable battle? :)
